Role:
The Public Affairs Specialist provides strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, industry outreach, multimedia, and public affairs support to the DCMA Blue List Program. The position supports Government public affairs personnel in developing and executing communications products and outreach activities that inform Government, industry, and other stakeholders about the Blue List Program and its initiatives. This position will develop written, visual, digital, and multimedia communications products; support industry and public engagement events; develop leadership communications materials; and analyze outreach and engagement effectiveness. The Public Affairs Specialist provides advisory and communications support and will not serve as an official Government spokesperson or independently release official Government communications. Limited To:
Support Government public affairs, strategic communications, stakeholder engagement, and industry outreach activities. Assist with development and implementation of strategic communications and public messaging supporting the Blue List Program. Develop outreach materials, digital communications, industry engagement products, and other communication materials. Develop professional multimedia products, including: Photography Videography Graphic design Presentations Digital content Technical articles Program publications Correspondence Social media content Assist in planning, coordinating, and supporting industry days, conferences, workshops, demonstrations, training events, public engagements, and other outreach activities. Coordinate event schedules, logistics, registration, promotional materials, and post-event communications. Prepare talking points, speeches, briefing materials, presentations, fact sheets, newsletters, and other communications products for Government leadership. Support communications for both internal and external Government engagements. Monitor communication metrics, public engagement activities, and outreach initiatives. Analyze communications and stakeholder-engagement results and recommend improvements to Government communication strategies. Coordinate with Government public affairs personnel, program leadership, industry representatives, technical personnel, and other stakeholders. Ensure communications products are accurate, professional, appropriate for the intended audience, and approved by the Government prior to public release. Perform other duties, as assigned.
Experience Requirements:
Experience planning, coordinating, and supporting conferences, industry days, workshops, trade shows, or similar outreach events. Experience with event scheduling, logistics, promotion, registration, and coordination. Experience developing professional written communications, multimedia products, digital content, presentations, and other communications materials. Experience using industry-standard communications and multimedia software applications. Strong writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills. Ability to develop communications for both internal and external audiences.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Public Affairs, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field; or minimum of five (5) years of verifiable experience supporting public affairs, strategic communications, multimedia production, outreach, or related activities.

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, stakeholders, and project dependencies simultaneously. Ability to develop clear, professional reports, briefings, procedures, and program management documentation. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to effectively communicate with Government customers and stakeholders.
