This role serves as a strategic communications partner at the center of enterprise strategy, financial performance, and executive positioning. The Communications Senior Manager will shape and drive narratives that influence investors, policymakers, customers, and employees—translating complex business priorities into clear, compelling communications that advance the company's market position. Operating in a highly dynamic, global environment, this leader will work closely with senior executives and cross-functional partners to ensure the company's strategy, performance, and perspective are communicated with clarity, consistency, and impact. Develop and articulate clear, differentiated narratives aligned to corporate priorities, ensuring consistency across executive communications, investor-facing materials, and external engagements. Design and execute communications plans supporting enterprise strategic initiatives, executive thought leadership, and financial communications. Lead strategic communications for key financial milestones—including quarterly earnings, the annual report, and proxy statement—in close partnership with Investor Relations and Finance. Design and execute campaigns that position senior leaders on enterprise strategy, national security, and global policy issues across earned, owned, and shared platforms. Act as a trusted communications counselor to senior executives, shaping messaging for high-stakes engagements, market-moving announcements, and reputationally sensitive issues. Partner closely with Investor Relations, Finance, Legal, Government Affairs, Global Business Development & Strategy, International, and Communications teams to ensure alignment and execution of enterprise priorities. Manage and mentor a high-performing team, setting priorities, ensuring integration across workstreams, and elevating overall strategic impact. Collaborate with global media relations and public affairs teams to align enterprise messaging with proactive and reactive external communications. Oversee multiple high-visibility workstreams simultaneously, ensuring disciplined execution in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 12+ years of professional experience 10+ years of experience spanning corporate communications, executive positioning, and financial communications. Experience within a publicly traded, global organization, government environment, aerospace/defense sector, or top-tier communications advisory firm. Demonstrated experience supporting financial communications, including earnings, investor messaging, or corporate reporting. Proven ability to lead through influence in a matrixed, geographically distributed organization. Experience working directly with C-level executives and senior leadership teams. Ability to travel as required.Desired Skills:
Strong business acumen, with the ability to translate complex strategy and financial performance into clear, compelling narratives. Demonstrated success crafting and executing executive thought leadership platforms tied to business and policy priorities. Experience operating in highly regulated or geopolitically sensitive environments. Significant media relations experience, with an understanding of how narratives shape market and stakeholder perception. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a sharp eye for message discipline and clarity. Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives simultaneously. Exercises sound judgment under pressure and navigates ambiguity with confidence. Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $143,600 - $248,975. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered:

The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.Benefits offered:
Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
