Job Description

The WYO Social Media Manager creates and posts social media content for WYO related events.
Specific Duties:
Social Media & Communications:
Daily social media posts (pictures, videos, reels etc), utilizing Facebook & Instagram with the opportunity for use of other social media networks as applicable (YouTube Shorts, Tik-Tok, etc.). Promoting concerts, student interviews, and raising awareness about WYO. Assist with paid ad campaigns to promote auditions, concerts and awareness. Post day of pictures at concerts/performances.
Shared Duties:
Event planning with the General Manager, Operations Manager & Artistic Director. Coordinate social media with email campaigns and press releases with Associate Executive Director. Reports directly to the Associate Executive Director. Qualifications Demonstrated experience with photo and video editing tools Experience working with Canva Pro and Meta Business Suite Bachelors and/or Associates Degree preferred, or relevant previous job experience. Must have the ability to work independently, meet deadlines and attention to detail. Desire to promote youth education and empowerment, and enrich the cultural life of central Massachusetts. Compensation Part time, $4,500 stipend paid over 12 months. Flexible remote working, weekly Zoom meeting with supervisor. Attend rehearsals and concerts as needed and agreed upon with supervisor. 1099 independent contractor position, individual is responsible for reporting all taxes. Not eligible for benefits.
