Telecommunications Project Manager

Project Manager Overview We are seeking a highly organized Project Manager to support broadband decommissioning projects for a local telecommunications company. This role focuses on coordinating the safe removal of cable, fiber, and telecommunications equipment while ensuring minimal disruption to existing services. The ideal candidate excels in tracking complex workflows, aligning multiple teams, and maintaining clear, shared visibility across all stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and execute broadband decommissioning projects involving removal of cable, fiber, and telecom equipment Track all required project steps, dependencies, and approvals to ensure smooth execution Coordinate across multiple internal teams, contractors, and external service providers whose infrastructure may be impacted Maintain and manage centralized project tracking (e.g., shared spreadsheets or team sites) to ensure visibility for all stakeholders involved in the process Ensure all parties complete required tasks in sequence and on schedule Identify potential service impacts and proactively engage appropriate teams to mitigate risks Review CAD drawings and network documentation to understand infrastructure layouts and dependencies Communicate project status, risks, and updates clearly to all stakeholders Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational requirements Qualifications 2-5+ years of project coordination or project management experience (telecommunications, utilities, or infrastructure preferred) Strong organizational and tracking skills, with experience managing complex workflows and multiple stakeholders Experience using spreadsheets or shared tracking tools (e.g., Excel, SharePoint, Teams) to manage project data Ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and ensure accountability across all parties General understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and the potential impact of removing equipment (preferred but not required) Ability to interpret CAD drawings or technical plans (preferred) Strong communication and problem-solving skills Preferred Experience working in shared infrastructure environments involving multiple service providers PMP or equivalent project management training/certification Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Honolulu, HI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
