Job Description

MOS CODE
None Education and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree or higher in Business, Public Administration, Communication, Planning, Political Science, social or behavioral sciences, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in community engagement, policy research, project coordination, or public information.
Licenses and Certifications :
Valid Texas Class C Driver's License or equivalent from another state by the date of appointment. Under general supervision, coordinate research, engagement, and communication activities that strengthen the connection between residents and the City of El Paso. Community engagement activities.
Involves:
Build relationships with community groups, nonprofits, neighborhood associations, and other local partners to broaden participation in City and community partnerships. Assist in resolving complaints by documenting concerns, identifying themes, and preparing draft responses or recommendations. Collect and analyze resident input to identify needs, barriers, and opportunities for service improvement. Develop plain-language summaries, infographics, and public-facing materials to share findings with the community. Plan, coordinate, and document.
Involves:
Conducting community engagement activities, including workshops, listening sessions, and surveys. Organize and maintain records of engagement activities, contacts, and community data. Prepare reports, presentations, and briefing materials that highlight key insights, engagement results, and next steps. Maintain feedback loops by tracking how community concerns are addressed and reporting outcomes back to stakeholders. Perform other duties as assigned. To view complete job specification, click here.
