STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Director of Community Relations and Training provides strategic leadership and oversight for Region Ten's communications, public relations, marketing, community engagement, training, grant support, and stakeholder relations functions. The incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing communication and engagement strategies that promote Region Ten's mission, services, priorities, and community impact while enhancing organizational visibility, reputation, and partnerships. The Director oversees the Community Relations and Training Department, including staff supervision, budget management, program planning, and performance outcomes. Working closely with the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team, the incumbent serves as the primary lead on internal and external communications, media relations, crisis communications, branding, community partnerships, fundraising initiatives, and public engagement efforts. The Director also oversees the agency's website, social media strategy, marketing initiatives, and public awareness campaigns, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all audiences. The incumbent serves as Region Ten's primary liaison to community stakeholders, partner organizations, media representatives, government entities, donors, and the public. Reporting to the Senior Director of Clinical Operations, the Director exercises considerable independent judgment, strategic thinking, and professionalism while representing the agency's interests and advancing its mission through effective communication, relationship-building, and leadership.MAJOR DUTIES

- Promotes the overall culture of service excellence, accessibility, inclusion, accountability and continuous improvement while advancing the agency's mission, values and strategic priorities. 2.
- Provides leadership and supervision to assigned staff including: a. Recruitment, hiring, onboarding and performance development. b. Provide timely feedback, coaching, mentoring. c. Establishes clear expectations and accountability measures. d. Conducts performance evaluations and supports employee growth. e. Ensuring staff meet agency performance, quality and compliance standards. 3.
- Provides overall administrative, operational, strategic, and budgetary oversight of the Community Relations and Training Department. 4.
- Develops and implements comprehensive internal and external communications strategies designed to enhance public awareness, stakeholder engagement, organizational transparency, and brand reputation. 5.
- Serves as the agency's communications leader and collaborates with the Executive Director and senior leadership to ensure clear, accurate, timely, and consistent organizational messaging. 6.
- Oversees the development and distribution of media releases, public statements, newsletters, annual reports, presentations, digital communications, marketing materials, and educational resources. 7.
- Develops and oversees agency branding standards and ensures consistent application across all communication platforms and materials. 8.
- Provides strategic direction for Region Ten's website, ensuring content remains current, accessible, informative, and aligned with organizational goals and branding standards. 9.
- Leads agency social media strategy and oversight, including content development, community engagement, public awareness campaigns, employee recognition initiatives, heritage month observances, celebratory recognitions, service promotion, and reputation management. 10.
- Establishes communication metrics and evaluates the effectiveness of marketing, media, website, and social media initiatives. 11.
- Develops and implements internal communication strategies that enhance employee engagement, information sharing, organizational alignment, and change management efforts. 12.
- Serves as the primary media liaison and coordinates responses to media inquiries in collaboration with the Executive Director and other designated agency representatives. 13.
- Provides communications consultation, messaging support, and media preparation for executive leadership and agency representatives. 14. Makes themself accessible to media for interviews, press releases, and/or statements. 15.
- Develops and implements communication strategies related to organizational issues, emergencies, and crisis situations. 16.
- Develops, maintains, and strengthens relationships with local, regional, and statewide media representatives, community organizations, healthcare systems, educational institutions, advocacy groups, local governments, businesses, and other stakeholders. 17.
- Provides oversight and strategic direction for community outreach efforts, awareness campaigns, agency-sponsored events, recognition activities, community forums, health fairs, and partner engagement opportunities. 18.
- Ensures training initiatives support regulatory requirements, organizational priorities, workforce competency development, and employee engagement. 19.
- Provides strategic leadership for organizational training and workforce development, partnering with agency leaders to assess training needs and implement learning solutions that support employee growth and organizational effectiveness. 20.
- Collaborates with leadership and community partners to pursue funding opportunities that support agency initiatives and strategic priorities. 21.
- Serves as staff liaison to Board fundraising and development activities, including support of the Fundraising Committee. 22.
- Supports development initiatives through donor communications, cultivation, fundraising campaigns, grant reporting, fundraising technology systems, and communication efforts, including management of the Power of Ten grants and Endowment Fund activities. 23.
- Performs related duties involving community engagement, communications, public affairs, training, grants, marketing, strategic initiatives, and organizational development. 24.
