In this vital role, you will lead and support direct support professionals (DSPs) in delivering exceptional care to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, and other disabilities. Your leadership will foster a positive, empowering environment that promotes independence, community participation, and well-being. Your expertise in behavioral health, special education, and caregiving will be essential to success in this energetic and rewarding role. Responsibilities Supervise and mentor a team of Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring high-quality service delivery aligned with individual needs and goals Coordinate community engagement activities that promote social inclusion, skill development, and community integration for clients Assist with planning and implementing individualized care plans, including support with activities of daily living (ADLs), medication administration, and behavioral management strategies Conduct regular site visits to monitor client progress, provide coaching to staff, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards Collect and maintain accurate data on client progress, service delivery, and community participation efforts for reporting and quality assurance purposes Facilitate communication between clients, families, healthcare providers, and community partners to foster collaboration and support networks Support team members with emergency response procedures, driving clients safely to appointments or community outings as needed Qualifications Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or related disabilities in home or community settings Strong understanding of behavioral health principles, behavior management techniques, and special education strategies Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients of all ages, families, team members, and community stakeholders Ability to lead a team with enthusiasm while maintaining a positive work environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client outings and community engagement activities Knowledge of data collection methods related to client progress and service documentation Experience assisting with ADLs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administration is preferred Familiarity with American Sign Language (ASL), social work practices or caregiving certifications is a plus Join us in empowering individuals to live fulfilling lives by providing compassionate support that makes a real difference.
