Position Overview:

The Political Director serves as the strategist and operational leader for the Republican Party of Wisconsin's electoral efforts. This position is responsible for developing and executing the statewide political strategy to elect Republicans at all levels from local offices to statewide races while building and managing a high-performing Political Team. The Political Director works closely with senior leadership, county parties, candidate campaigns, elected officials, and allied organizations to maximize Republican success across Wisconsin. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Lead the development of comprehensive political strategy for the Party, including electoral targeting, resource allocation, and long-term growth plans. Advise the Executive Director and senior leadership on political opportunities, risks, and implementation tactics. Stakeholder Relationship Management Build and maintain strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders, including elected officials, prospective and current Republican candidates, County Party Chairs, legislative leaders, allied groups, PACs, and other political partners. Team Management Directly manage and mentor the Political Department, which includes Deputy Political Directors and Regional Political Managers. Provide clear direction, professional development, and accountability to ensure the team meets aggressive electoral goals. Program Development & Execution Design and implement statewide voter engagement programs, including distributed organizing, grassroots mobilization, voter contact initiatives, and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) efforts. Oversee the integration of data-driven targeting and field operations. Campaign Coordination Serve as the primary point of contact and coordinator between the state Party and local, county, and statewide Republican campaigns. Facilitate resource sharing, best practices, training, and strategic alignment across the ticket. Cross Department Collaboration Work closely with other Party departments (Communications, Finance, Data, Operations, etc.) to ensure political goals are supported organization-wide and that all efforts are aligned toward electoral victory. Additional Duties Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Executive Director.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in political campaigns, grassroots organizing, or advocacy

Preferred:

Strong understanding of Wisconsin's political landscape, including key issues and voter demographics.

Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in voter database systems and campaign technology (e.g., GOP Data Center, RumbleUp).
Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment with a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required for regional travel.
