Communications Associate The position will help translate evidence-based information on brain health and healthy aging into engaging, accessible educational materials and programs for consumers, community organizations, and other audiences.- Develop educational materials, curricula, toolkits, facilitator guides, presentations, worksheets, activities, and other resources focused on brain health, healthy aging, and related health topics.
- Translate scientific and public health evidence into practical, understandable, and actionable educational content for nontechnical audiences.
- Apply principles of adult learning, health education, instructional design, and behavior change to the development of educational resources.
- Work with subject matter experts to identify learning objectives, key messages, instructional approaches, and appropriate activities for different audiences.
- Adapt educational content for use in a variety of settings, including community organizations, faith-based organizations, workshops, virtual programs, and self-guided learning.
- Review existing educational materials and recommend improvements to content, structure, usability, readability, and audience engagement.
- Develop facilitator instructions, discussion guides, exercises, and implementation resources that enable organizations and community leaders to deliver educational programming effectively.
- Support development of evaluation approaches, participant feedback tools, and other methods for assessing educational materials and programs.
- Help ensure educational materials reflect current evidence, health literacy best practices, accessibility principles, and appropriate cultural considerations.
- Provide additional health education, instructional design, and content development support for Brain Health projects as needed.
