Job Description

Description To strengthen and safeguard UAB's brand as a part of the Public Relations (PR) team through strategic content creation, management, and media relations, ensuring proactive and responsive communication. The PR specialist will support UAB's health and medicine enterprise by developing accurate, compliant messaging that reflects the institution's education, research, clinical and community service priorities. They will collaborate closely with university and Health System professionals to translate information into clear, audience-friendly communications. This role ensures that all external messaging aligns with appropriate guidelines, regulatory requirements and organizational priorities.
Salary Range:
$47,665 - $52,469 Qualifications Bachelors degree in communication, journalism, public relations or a related field. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
