OFFICER Seasonal Employee:
$25.00 per hr. Prior Military service preferred. Patriot General Engineering (PGE) is seeking exceptional individuals to join our team as a Range Safety Officer (RSO). We are seeking skilled individuals with expertise in communications, and one who comes with a positive attitude and a commitment to excellence, equity, inclusion, flexibility, and integrity. Under the supervision of the Fire Coordinator and the Range Communications Office, the Range Safety Officer provides onsite safety and communications while working on military installations. The scope of work includes but is not limited to providing communications as the liaison between field contractors and the Range Communications Office, operating handheld radios, reading and disseminating maps and coordinates, and providing written reports and documentation of daily activities. Operate four-wheel drive pickup in off-road settings. The position supports communications and safety needs for military installations. This position will perform a variety of tasks, which include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the first point of contact for contractors seeking access to training areas within the military base to perform work.
  • Provide the necessary communication link between military personnel and civilian contractors to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Cultivate, enhance, and maintain relationships with contractors, military personnel, and employers.
  • Build knowledge of radio procedures, training areas, road systems, and medical facilities.
  • Serve a key role in crisis communications and emergency management.
  • Be familiar with and thoroughly understand the Marine Corps (RSO) Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Prepare daily written reports and assessments defining daily activities and communications.
  • Write detailed reports of any emergency incident or other occurrence that happens within your assigned area during your watch period.
  • As an employee of Patriot General Engineering, I attend training events and maintain certifications as assigned.
  • As needed, periodically perform work or attend training events outside standard business hours.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
