  • Your role and responsibilities
  • As a
Brand Sales Specialist:
Data Platform - Portfolio, you will create demand and progress opportunities to close for Data Platform solutions. This role involves driving sales efforts for a wide range of products, including data management, analytics, and automation solutions.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
    Develop Solution Opportunities:
    Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leveraging knowledge of Data Platform solutions to meet client needs and drive business growth.
      Deliver Sales Results:
      Meet or exceed sales targets by progressing opportunities through the sales cycle, collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to close deals.
        Build Client Relationships:
        Foster strong relationships with clients, understanding their business challenges and presenting Data Platform solutions that address their needs.
        • Stay Up-to-Date on
        Products:
        Maintain knowledge of Data Platform solutions, including new releases and updates, to effectively communicate value to clients.
        • Collaborate with
        Teams:
        Work with internal teams, such as marketing and technical sales, to align sales strategies and deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
        • Required technical and professional expertise
        • Data Platform Solutions Knowledge:
          Exposure to Data Platform solutions, including data management, analytics, and automation products, such as watsonx Code Assistant, OpenPages, and Cloud Pak for Data, to identify and pursue new sales opportunities.
        Sales Cycle Experience:
        Experience working with sales cycles, progressing opportunities, and collaborating with clients and internal stakeholders to close deals and drive business growth.
          Product Knowledge Maintenance:
          Exposure to maintaining knowledge of new releases and updates of Data Platform solutions to effectively communicate value to clients.
            Client Relationship Building:
            Experience working with clients to understand their business challenges and present Data Platform solutions that address their needs.
            • Collaboration with
            Internal Teams:
            Exposure to working with internal teams, such as marketing and technical sales, to align sales strategies and deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
            • Preferred technical and professional experience
            • Additional Data Platform Knowledge:
              Exposure to other Data Platform solutions, such as Cloudera & Hadoop, DataStax, Db2, Elastic, EnterpriseDB, Informix, MongoDB, Netezza, and SingleStore, can be beneficial in identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
            Industry-Specific Understanding:
            Familiarity with industry-specific challenges and trends can help in presenting Data Platform solutions that address client needs.
              Technical Sales Collaboration:
              Experience working with technical sales teams can aid in delivering comprehensive solutions to clients.
