Job Overview We are seeking a Technical Marketing & Communications Specialist who is both creative and technically curious. This role is highly collaborative and practical, focused on enabling the Solutions Engineering team, supporting customer conversations, and clearly communicating the value of our polarization components and systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys wearing multiple hats. You will be responsible for translating complex optical and photonic technologies into clear, compelling messaging for customers, partners, and the broader technical community. In a small-team environment, this role has direct impact on brand visibility, lead generation, and business growth. Responsibilities Messaging, Content & Sales Enablement Develop and maintain clear, consistent messaging across all customer-facing channels Create and manage marketing content including website copy, datasheets, application notes, presentations, case studies, and email campaigns Ensure technical accuracy and consistency of marketing content through collaboration with engineering and subject matter experts Collaborate closely with sales and engineering to understand products, applications, and customer value Partner closely with Sales and Solutions Engineering to create and refine customer-facing content that directly supports active sales opportunities. Product Marketing & Market Intelligence Support competitive intelligence efforts by tracking competitor offerings, pricing, specifications, product capabilities, marketing channels, and market positioning. Help develop and refine product value propositions, "Why Us" messaging, and product comparison materials in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and leadership. Analyze customer needs, competitor positioning, and market feedback to help identify product gaps, content needs, and potential market opportunities. Maintain distributor-facing marketing resources and help ensure partners have access to current, accurate sales and technical materials. Support demo program communications, documentation, and process coordination in collaboration with Sales, Engineering, and Operations. Campaigns, Events & Digital Presence Support lead generation efforts through content creation, campaign execution, and basic analytics Manage conference and trade show communications, including booth messaging, collateral, and pre/post-event outreach Coordinate product announcements, press releases, and industry news Maintain and update the company website and digital presence Support social media and professional community engagement (e.g., LinkedIn, industry forums) Brand, Analytics & Marketing Operations Track and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing content and campaigns to inform future improvements. Assist with branding, visual consistency, and messaging standards Help build marketing processes and tools as the company grows Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, Engineering, Physics, Optics/Photonics, or a related field. Experience in marketing communications, content marketing, or technical marketing Strong writing and editing skills with attention to clarity and accuracy Ability to learn and communicate technical concepts effectively Comfortable working independently in a small, fast-paced environment Ability to prioritize and execute across multiple concurrent projects with competing deadlines. Comfortable operating with minimal existing marketing infrastructure and building processes as needed. Highly organized with strong project management skills Preferred Experience in optics, photonics, engineering, or other technical industries Experience with product marketing, competitive analysis, or technical positioning in a B2B environment. Experience supporting distributor networks, sales channels, or partner-facing marketing resources. Experience supporting sales teams with collateral and messaging Basic understanding of SEO, email marketing, and marketing analytics Experience with trade shows, conferences, or industry events Comfortable creating or modifying simple visual assets using common design or presentation tools. Pay:
$65,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
