Communications Specialist

06/19/2026 Cardinal Gibbons High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is seeking an individual to be the full-time Communication Specialist for the 2026-2027 academic year. The Communication Specialist is responsible for writing, developing, editing, and managing a variety of marketing and communication initiatives, including marketing emails, marketing copy, website content, advertising copy, social media content, and other forms of communication used to promote the school and its programs and engage key target audiences. This position is also responsible for the day to day management, content creation, scheduling, monitoring, and growth of all school social media accounts and digital communication platforms. This 12-month position reports directly to the Executive Director of Advancement and performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred. One to three (1 - 3) years of experience in a related field. Software skills include: Blackbaud products; Raiser's Edge/NXT database software experience a plus. Website platforms such as Finalsite, or similar educational CMS platforms. Google Analytics and website performance reporting tools. Relevant social media/ networking platforms including Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin. Demonstrated ability to make connections and communicate effectively with donors, students, parents, alumni, faculty, and staff. Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills. Must be fully committed, supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church. Must conduct themselves in a professional manner consistent with the tenets of the Catholic Church, including adherence to dress code. Candidates must provide eligibility to work in the United States.
