Outreach and Communications Specialist The Children's Forum - 4.0 Tallahassee, FL Job Details Full-time $45,000 - $55,000 a year 4 days ago Qualifications Social media brand management Outreach events (outreach initiatives) Full Job Description About the Position The role of Outreach and Communications Specialist includes supporting outreach and communications efforts that advance the mission of the Children's Forum, with emphasis on the Florida Center for Early Childhood Professional Recognition and Workforce Initiatives. This position will help build a positive brand image, promote awareness, engagement, and access to resources, services, and professional recognition opportunities for Florida's early learning workforce and partners. Core Responsibilities Collaborates in the development and implementation of comprehensive communication strategies and materials that align with the Children's Forum goals and objectives, including specific communications outreach and strategy in support of the Center and related Workforce Initiatives. Assists in the management of internal and external communications to ensure consistent messaging and branding. Analyzes, tracks, and reports outreach activities and performance data to help evaluate effectiveness and inform future strategies. Assists in the procurement, content and design, translation, ordering, and inventory of various outreach and marketing materials. Will work closely with the Graphics Designer/Outreach & Communications Department on these requests. Participates in the planning and execution of outreach campaigns and/or events to promote the Children's Forum's programs, services, and initiatives to early childhood educators and stakeholders. This may include conferences events, professional recognition opportunities, and annual Children's Week Florida activities. These may require virtual assistance and onsite responsibilities as needed. Collaborates with different departments to gather information and ensure accurate and timely communication. Creates and distributes engaging content across various platforms. Platforms may include press releases, newsletters, reports, presentations, conference or training materials. Assists in the daily management of the company's social media presence, including content creation, posting and engagement. Monitors the Children's Forum and partner program websites. Submits update requests to IT Helpdesk as needed. Participates in meetings, trainings, workshops, and conferences as requested. This will include inperson and virtual opportunities. Assists Outreach & Communications Directors and performs other duties as required. Requirements Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or Industry Certification in related field (ex. Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or Marketing) Experience in developing outreach, marketing, and social media campaigns Experience in early childhood education or related field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, and complete multiple work assignments in a timely manner Strong interpersonal and networking skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and effectively Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills, with attention to detail and accuracy Proficiency using various software and applications such as email, wordprocessing, spreadsheets, and databases Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and discretion High level of creativity and strategic thinking Technology skillset to develop presentations, create reports, and support website or database users Knowledge of services, supports, and systems that directly affect children and families, particularly Florida's system for early childhood education Capacity to work independently or collaboratively in a fastpaced environment Ability to work remotely. Must have reliable internet connection.
