Project Communication Intern

Summary:

Incumbent supports the Company and the Corporate Communication Lead in all internal and external communication and customer facing efforts to ensure consistent brand voice and effective stakeholder engagement.

Relationships:

Works directly for the Corporate Communication Lead. Works with staff from various departments and internal and external stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities:

Performs all tasks safely, complies with all internal and external safety requirements, supports ITRCCs safety culture, attends all safety training, and completes all compliance trainings as required by ITRCC.

Upholds ITRCCs core values:

Assist in writing, editing and sending out member communications Possible projects with social media, research, writing and others as assigned. Maintains and updates Company web-site and social media pages. Support a variety of HUB department functions, providing opportunities to develop skills in Communications, Human Resources, Customer Service, and Environmental programs. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

(required) Must be working towards a college degree, preferably in a related field (e.g., English, Marketing/Communications, Advertising or public Relations.) Graphic Design literate (Adobe Programs) Understanding of the basic principles of communications, public relations and/or marketing. Must be computer literate (working knowledge of Microsoft Office) Ability to establish and maintain effective oral and written communications. Must possess the ability to thrive in high pressure situations Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license.

Desirable Experience:

Strong writing skills Comfortable with media relations, general communication, interpersonal skills and multimedia Strong time management skills

Working Conditions:

This position requires: (Frequent est. 5 hrs per shift) Frequent standing, walking and sitting Frequent talking and hearing Light physical effort. Heavy computer usage Elkhart, Indiana location 3 days per week in-person LaPorte, Indiana location 9AM-5PM Monday through Friday
