Job Description

BQMI is seeking a Multimedia Communications Specialist to support the Corporate Communications Department at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane. This individual will be responsible for developing, editing, and managing a high volume of content opportunities while creating compelling multimedia assets that engage target audiences across multiple channels. The ideal candidate combines exceptional writing and copy-editing skills with multimedia content creation expertise. They can quickly assess and prioritize content leads, develop strategic messaging plans, and transform complex information into clear, engaging stories through written, visual, and digital formats. Key Responsibilities Create high-quality written, visual, and multimedia content for internal and external communications channels. Write, edit, proofread, and refine content to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand standards. Review, assess, and prioritize a high volume of content requests, story ideas, and communication opportunities. Develop messaging plans and content strategies that support organizational priorities and key businessobjectives. Produce and coordinate multimedia content, including videos, graphics, presentations, social media assets, photography, and digital storytelling materials. Translate complex topics into compelling content tailored to diverse audiences and communication channels. Manage content calendars and communication schedules to ensuretimelyand effective delivery of key messages. Maintain a consistent voice, tone, and visual identity across all communications. Monitor content performance and audience engagement, recommending improvements and enhancements based on results. Qualifications Exceptional writing, editing, copy-editing, and proofreading skills. Experience developing content for multiple channels, including web, email, social media, newsletters, presentations, and executive communications. Experience creating or coordinating multimedia content, including video, graphics, photography, or digital media. Strong ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience developing messaging frameworks, communication plans, and contentstrategies. Ability to synthesize large volumes of information andidentifyimpactful stories and communication opportunities. Strong collaboration, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. The successful candidate is a creative storyteller and strategic communicator who can effectively blendcommunication, content creation, and multimedia production. They are skilled at uncovering compelling stories from a large volume ofcontent leads, crafting clear and engaging messaging, and delivering content in formats that drive awareness, understanding, and engagement. This individual thrives in a dynamic environment and brings both creative and strategic thinking to every project. Due to contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required to obtain access to government facilities and systems.
