Job Description

On behalf of a locally operated energy-sector business unit, PCG is looking for a top-notch communications advisor. This is a brand-new position where you will provide strategic advice and hands-on delivery across internal and external communications, internal marketing, community investment, and incident/emergency response. Initially, a significant proportion of this role will focus on internal communications and brand-building, driving engagement within the business unit and alignment with global headquarters. While external communications are primary handled by the corporate team, you will serve as the vital local conduit for regional external relations.
Critical Responsibilities Internal Communications Strategy & Planning:
Develop and deliver a comprehensive communications and a content plan aligned with the global communications strategy.
Content Creation:
Draft, design, and execute high-quality internal messages, emails, and intranet articles.
Internal Marketing & Presentations:
Craft compelling presentations, corporate narratives, and internal marketing materials to support regional initiatives and build the local brand.
Leadership Support:
Advise the leadership team on communication issues; draft articles, talking points, and presentations for management.
Event Management:
Lead and manage BU internal leadership events, including town halls and employee forums.
External Communications & Stakeholder Relations Corporate & HQ Liaison:
Act as the local focal point for the HQ Investor Relations, Government Affairs, and Corporate Communications teams.
Media Support:
Draft localized media materials and brief regional journalists under the guidance and approval of the HQ Communications team.
Community Investment:
Plan, advise on, and manage local community investments, sponsorships, and charitable activities in alignment with the global community investment framework.
Brand Stewardship:
Ensure consistent, high-quality application of the corporate brand across all physical and digital channels within the business unit.
Supplier Management:
Review and approve communications content generated by third-party partners and suppliers.
Compliance, HSES & Emergency Response Incident Communications:
Support the Emergency Response and HQ Communications teams during exercises and live incidents, managing emergency response communications.
HSES:
Ensure all communication activities are carried out safely, complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and corporate procedures.
Ethics & Compliance:
Conduct all activities in accordance with the corporate office's Ethics and Compliance Policies, and complete all compulsory training.
Qualifications & Experience Required Education & Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, HR, or a related discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or internal marketing.
Industry Background:
Experience in the energy sector is a plus, but not required. We highly value professionals with transferable skills from other fast-paced environments who possess high aptitude and agility.
Key Skills & Competencies Exceptional Writing Skills:
Proven capability to write across diverse channels (from executive emails and formal scripts to social media and intranet articles) with an excellent grasp of tone and messaging.
Leadership Advising:
Demonstrated confidence and ability to build relationships with, influence, and advise senior executives.
Digital & Tech Literacy:
Strong capability utilizing the Microsoft 365 environment. Experience leveraging AI tools to optimize workflow efficiency is highly desirable. Visual Flair /
Presentation Design:
Experience or aptitude in basic graphic design and creating visually polished, impactful PowerPoint presentations is highly valued.
Crisis/Emergency Response:
Prior exposure to or experience in handling emergency/crisis communications is preferred.

A self-motivated, resilient, and collaborative professional who thrives in an autonomous, standalone role.
Working Conditions Travel:
Minimal travel required, with occasional instances of domestic and international travel as business needs dictate.
Flexibility:
This role requires occasional flexibility for evening and weekend work, particularly during emergency response training, exercises, or live incidents.
Team Dynamics:
Individual contributor role with no direct reports. Offers a high degree of ownership and visibility across the business.
