GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE
Work in the technical communications group supporting the creation of technical documentation for custom railroad maintenance equipment. Tasks include creating operator manuals, maintenance instructions, lockout / tagout manuals, and other technical communication materials.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assists in authoring technical content under the direct guidance of another technical writer or engineer.
Analyze technical specifications and performance data to develop clear and concise documentation.
Collaborate with engineering to gather information and resolve documentation issues.
Prepare outlines and illustrations to support technical documents.
Perform duties and subtasks in area of discipline of low complexity for a project or projects.
