Position Overview The Communications & Ministry Support Coordinator develops and manages communication strategies that connect the congregation, staff, and wider community with Christ UMC's mission. This role creates engaging digital and print content, supports worship and special programming, and partners with ministry leaders to promote events and initiatives throughout the year. Responsibilities Create, edit, and distribute weekly worship bulletins, newsletters (Mailchimp), and digital content. Maintain and manage social media accounts and church website (Squarespace). Develop graphics, branding, and print materials for internal and external communications efforts. Create and publish weekly church media, including a weekly video update. repare ProPresenter slides and streaming keys for weekly worship. Collaborate with pastors and ministry leaders to promote programming through email, social, and print channels. Document church life with photography; build media archives (YouTube playlists, seasonal content). Coordinate seasonal communications and logistics for major church events (Easter, Christmas, Vacation Bible School, Generosity Campaign, Angel Tree). Support ministry teams with communication tools. Be present at selected ministry events on nights and weekends to create social media posts documenting and promoting our ministry and mission activities. Qualifications Strong written and visual communication skills. Proficiency in Mailchimp, Canva, Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar), Squarespace, and social media platforms. Creative design ability with attention to detail. Comfortable working collaboratively across ministry teams and independently on projects. Familiarity with worship technologies (ProPresenter, livestreaming) preferred.
