Teen Center and Community-Based Sites Position Summary The Community Liaison & Member Recruitment Coordinator is responsible for increasing awareness, enrollment, and retention of youth participating in Teen Center and Boys & Girls Club programs. This position serves as the primary ambassador for the organization by building strong relationships with schools, families, community organizations, and local stakeholders to recruit new members and promote Club services. The coordinator develops and implements strategic outreach efforts, represents the Club at community events, assists families with enrollment, and works collaboratively with program staff to ensure youth have a positive experience that encourages ongoing participation. This role plays a critical part in achieving membership goals and ensuring that more young people have access to high-quality youth development opportunities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Member Recruitment & Enrollment Lead membership recruitment efforts to meet annual enrollment and participation goals. Develop and implement recruitment strategies targeting youth and families throughout the community. Conduct presentations and outreach activities at schools, community centers, housing communities, churches, and local events. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective members and families. Assist families with membership registration, enrollment forms, and program orientation. Ensure that all membership records and enrollment data are accurate and up to date. Monitor membership trends and identify opportunities for growth. School & Community Partnerships Serve as the primary liaison between the Teen Center, schools, and community organizations. Develop relationships with principals, counselors, social workers, teachers, family liaisons, and community leaders. Coordinate school visits, lunch-time recruitment tables, assemblies, and informational sessions. Promote Club programs through community events, resource fairs, and neighborhood engagement activities. Establish partnerships that increase youth referrals and participation. Marketing & Outreach Collaborate with leadership to develop outreach campaigns promoting Teen Center programs and services. Assist in creating flyers, newsletters, social media content, and promotional materials. Distribute marketing materials throughout schools and community locations. Maintain a visible and positive presence in the community as a representative of the organization. Support recruitment efforts for special events, summer programs, sports leagues, and teen leadership opportunities. Member Retention & Engagement Work closely with staff to ensure new members feel welcomed and connected. Conduct follow-up communication with families and members regarding attendance and participation. Monitor attendance patterns and support re-engagement efforts for inactive members. Gather feedback from youth and families to improve recruitment and retention efforts. Promote youth participation across multiple programs and activities. Family Engagement Serve as a welcoming point of contact for parents and guardians. Communicate program opportunities, schedules, and Club expectations. Connect families with community resources and support services when appropriate. Encourage family involvement in Club events and activities. Data Tracking & Reporting Track recruitment contacts, referrals, enrollment numbers, and retention data. Maintain outreach logs and partnership records. Prepare monthly reports on membership growth, recruitment efforts, and outreach outcomes. Utilize data to evaluate recruitment strategies and make recommendations for improvement. Organizational Support Represent the Club at community meetings, events, and stakeholder gatherings. Assist with special events, open houses, and enrollment drives. Support organizational initiatives that advance the mission of the Boys & Girls Club. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred. Experience in community outreach, recruitment, customer service, marketing, education, or youth development. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Ability to engage diverse youth, families, and community partners. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and basic data entry systems. Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout the community. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends. Preferred Experience working in a Boys & Girls Club, school, nonprofit, or youth-serving organization. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Experience with membership databases or CRM systems. Knowledge of local schools, neighborhoods, and community resources.
