The Broadcast Coordinator shall be responsible for the day-to-day operations of a modern broadcast facility, maintaining a stable studio environment for the purpose of producing live and recorded video and audio productions. Maintain a modern mobile video production/emergency communications vehicle. Manage district communications radios, manage and maintain school intercom systems, stadium sound systems and auditorium systems.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• An effective and seasoned broadcast leader with extensive knowledge of broadcast and engineering, camera operation and setup, including JVC studio cameras and JVC ENG cameras.
• Supervise and direct studio and remote broadcast productions.
• Maintain consistent communication with the Executive Director/Officer for consultation on broadcast needs, plans and direction.
• Operates and setup JVC studio cameras and JVC ENG cameras.
• Set up and operate TriCaster video switchers, Livestream studio switchers, and AutoQue Teleprompters
• Ensures optimum audio quality on all productions with the ability to use a variety of equipment including Mackie sound mixers, Shure microphone systems, and Sennheiser microphone systems
• Maintains and operates lighting systems, including DMX512 Lighting Controllers

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree in Broadcast Communications, Broadcast Engineering or a current Certified Broadcast Technologist (CBT) License.
• Minimum of five (5) years of professional work experience in Broadcast Communications, Broadcast Engineering or Broadcast Production.
• Certified ARRL (Ham Radio) Instructor.
• Emergency communications training.
• Extra Class Emergency Communications License.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Demonstrated experience in effective broadcast communications and project supervision.
• Expertise with the following: § Microwave STL Systems § Network STL Systems § Cable Headend Infrastructure § Onan Generator Sets and Transfer Systems § Studio Headset Intercom Systems § TeraDek Microwave SDI Transmitter Systems & Bonded Cellular Transport Systems
• Ability to operate radio programming systems including, Motorola/Hyter/Icom
• Set up and operation of video projection systems, Kenwood, Drake Satellite Receiving Systems and 1 Motorola Satellite Receiving Systems.
• Extensive experience programming, repairing Dukane & Valcom Intercom Systems located throughout the district.
• Procuring, installing and testing various sound systems for auditoriums, theaters and stadiums.
• Designing and implementing on-site and remote video productions.
• Troubleshooting and repairing electronics.
• Basic knowledge of electrical planning, wiring, testing and maintenance and experience installing and testing the following connectors: Cat6, RG6, BNC SDI, PL259, N-Type, Molex, XLR 3,4,6,7 pin, and PPL
