Job Description
Communications Specialist (Contract) Please note that this is a contract role providing services to Microsoft through external staffing partners of Allegis Global Solutions. If you are selected for this role, you will be employed by AGS and will not be an employee of Microsoft.
Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional to join a fast-paced, high-impact team supporting a large-scale cloud supply chain and procurement organization. In this role, you will serve as the central driver of end-to-end communications strategy, content design, and execution across a complex, cross-functional environment. You will partner closely with business leaders, program managers, and subject matter experts to craft clear, compelling, and visually engaging communications that support organizational alignment, transformation initiatives, and leadership narratives. This is a highly collaborative role that demands both strategic thinking and meticulous execution, with a strong emphasis on delivering polished, executive-ready materials and maintaining a consistent, reliable rhythm of business communications.Job Responsibilities:
Lead the design and execution of communication plans supporting organizational transformation initiatives Develop compelling content across multiple channels, including newsletters, presentations, SharePoint sites, and executive updates Ensure consistent messaging aligned to organizational priorities and leadership narratives Create visually engaging presentation decks, executive materials, and storytelling assets Translate complex technical or transformation concepts into clear, business-friendly messaging Partner with stakeholders to refine content for leadership consumption and broad audiences Manage recurring communications such as monthly transformation updates, organizational newsletters, awareness campaigns, and knowledge-sharing sessions including Lunch and Learns and demos Coordinate timelines, workback schedules, and stakeholder inputs to ensure on-time delivery Build and maintain SharePoint sites to centralize content and improve discoverability Design structured navigation, topic-based content sections, and user-friendly layouts Ensure communications are seamlessly integrated across email, SharePoint, Teams, Viva, and other platforms Partner with program managers, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to gather inputs and align messaging Provide communications guidance to project teams on how to effectively socialize initiatives Serve as a central coordinator for communications requests and execution Develop executive-ready summaries, status reports, and transformation updates Support creation of year-end reviews, executive reports, and leadership briefings Leverage tools including emerging AI capabilities to synthesize insights and improve reporting efficiency Utilize enterprise communications tools to streamline and automate communications workflows Experiment with generative AI and other new technologies to enhance content creation and insights generation Continuously improve communications processes and overall efficiencyRequirements:
10 or more years of related experience in communications, with a strong preference for candidates who have supported executive audiences 10 or more years of experience in executive communications 10 or more years of program management experience 10 or more years of fluency with M365 tools and AI-assisted platforms Prior experience at a large-scale technology organization such as Google, Meta, or Amazon strongly preferred Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent training preferred Strong communications and storytelling expertise with a demonstrated ability to craft clear and engaging narratives Extensive experience with executive communications and organizational messaging Proficiency in enterprise communications and productivity tools including SharePoint, Teams, Viva, and AI-assisted platforms such as Copilot Graphic design and content layout capabilities with a strong visual sensibility Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail and execution rigor Familiarity with transformation programs or large-scale change initiatives Fluency in M365 tools and AI-assisted productivity solutionsAdditional Details:
