$60,000-$63,000 annually ( commensurate with qualifications and experience.) Communications. Creativity. Community Impact. Landmarks for Families is seeking an experienced CommunicationsVolunteer Coordinator to lead organizational communications, social media, content creation, volunteer engagement, and community outreach. This position reports to the Vice President of Development and plays a key role in sharing our mission, engaging volunteers, supporting donor communications, and strengthening relationships throughout the community. For more than 235 years, Landmarks for Families has helped children and families build brighter futures through prevention, intervention, behavioral health, residential care, family preservation, and reunification services. If you're an exceptional communicator who enjoys telling meaningful stories and building community connections, we'd love to hear from you. What You'll Do CommunicationsMarketing Create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other digital platforms. Write newsletters, impact reports, marketing materials, donor communications, and organizational updates. Gather stories, photographs, testimonials, and program outcomes that highlight the impact of our work. Maintain a consistent organizational voice and brand across communication channels. Prepare donor acknowledgment letters and assist with donor database management. Assist with community outreach initiatives and organizational campaigns. Support fundraising communications and promotional efforts. Provide tours for donors, volunteers, and community partners. Volunteer Coordination Recruit, onboard, orient, and support volunteers. Coordinate volunteer schedules and assignments across programs. Maintain volunteer records, communication, and recognition activities. Partner with program leaders to identify volunteer opportunities that support children and families. Help ensure volunteers have a positive, mission-focused experience.
Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field. Three or more years of professional experience in communications, marketing, public relations, nonprofit development, volunteer management, or a related field. Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. Experience creating content for social media and digital communications. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Preferred Five or more years of relevant professional experience. Experience with Canva, Mailchimp, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design and communication platforms. Experience using CRM or donor management systems.
