PRIMARY PURPOSE:
The Multimedia Specialist brings creativity and innovation to positively promote the district and campuses to attain increases in student enrollment, parental and community involvement. This position assists with the development and leads the implementation of the district brand and marketing plan through different media platforms. In addition, the position contributes to the organization and performs routine work activities for the Communications Department office.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certification Requirements Associates degree in Communications, marketing, electronics, multimedia, graphics, or related field, or minimum three years successful experience in related field. Production and editing certifications preferred. Must have or obtain training certification in Final Cut Pro X editing/production software Valid Texas Driver's License Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50.00) paid by the employee. Special Knowledge/Skills Strong writing, proofreading, editing, and desktop publishing skills. Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, public relations, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and work with minimal direction Excellent public relations, organizational, communication (oral and written), and interpersonal skills Ability to meet established deadlines and maintain confidentiality Proficiency with DSLR cameras, video and audio equipment, lighting, and digital editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Lightroom). Experience with video production and editing. Familiarity in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter) and marketing tools such as geofencing. Ability to build relationships and develop stories that promote and enhance the district's brand. Demonstrate creativity, innovation, and collaboration in team-based projects. Experience Minimum of three (3) years of experience in video production equipment Experience in multimedia production, communications, marketing, or a related field required. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Implement marketing and advertising campaigns by preparing and promoting messaging and advertising strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing promotional presentations; and updating calendars. Plan and implement marketing and advertising campaigns, including messaging, promotional strategies, and content calendars Capture and produce multimedia content (photography, video, and audio) for district publications, events, programs, and presentations Perform full-cycle video production, including filming, editing, assembling footage, and final output for various platforms Document and highlight district activities (instructional programs, staff development, events, athletics, and Judson Education Foundation (JEF) initiatives) through interviews, recordings, and visual media Create and edit graphics, photos, and videos for digital and print media, including the district website and displays Manage and maintain all district social media accounts and digital signage; provide staff training on appropriate usage Maintain and update website content, supporting campuses and departments, and monitor performance using analytics tools Collaborate with news media by providing B-roll and relevant visual content as needed Maintain organized archives of multimedia assets and related materials Ensure compliance with copyright laws and provide guidance to staff on copyright-related matters Operate and maintain drone usage in compliance with FAA regulations, including certification requirements Support development of district communications, including publications and news releases Transcribe interviews and recordings as needed Support and promote the district's brand, image, and strategic priorities within the community Stay informed on district developments and maintain professional knowledge through ongoing training and learning opportunities Contribute to departmental and organizational goals by adapting to new responsibilities and opportunities Must complete designated district technology proficiencies each year Requires a basic knowledge of technology/computer skills Ability to use personal computer to access district programs, emails, and other resources Maintain a consistent professional demeanor and appearance Ensure compliance with the Texas Educator's Code of Ethics Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Supervision and evaluation of District personnel is not a requirement of the position; however, the supervision of students is required.
