Marketing and Communications Specialist
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
: The Marketing and Communications Specialist provides communications support to help raise the profile of the organization through effective internal and external messages that deliver a consistent message and brand voice across platforms.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing Material and Member / Customer communications Assist in updating existing marketing material or drafting new copy for new collateral Draft / edit / support other departments updating member / customer correspondence letters Draft and send out member communications via email Agent communications Prepare and distribute agent emails - about 100 per year. Work with Sales team to draft appropriate message and route for review and approval Maintain up to date agent email lists Prepare quarterly sales newsletters Employee communications Coordinate drafting quarterly newsletter. Work with other departments to gather information, draft, and route for reviews and approval. Distribute. Work with VP and other team members to write bimonthly Employee Updates with news updates and announcements. Update intranet regularly with current employee relevant information as requested Work with graphic designer to create online banners, posters, etc. Social Media / Website Contribute to social media efforts by updating, maintaining, and engaging key audiences in social media channels. Work with vendor to ensure consistent messaging and voice across channels Monitor accounts for posts and messages from our members. Involve other departments are needed. Ensure online issues are addressed Update and maintain website notices / banners as requested Work with IT and other team members to resolve and address technical issues Maintain quarterly report on website metrics and social media activity General Maintain communications calendar up to date, share with team and other departments as needed Create and maintain monthly communications dashboard - to include communications, website, and social media metrics Complete purchase orders, packaging requests, and work with mailroom services for shipments Other Communications and Marketing tasks as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing or related field 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced corporate environment Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud strongly preferred Life insurance or financial services industry experience a plus Experience with Adobe Creative Suite preferred
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
