Description:
Work directly with senior leadership of a scientist & technology program to deliver a range of communications products and services supporting all of the program's components. Duties/Responsibilities Compile a bi-weekly technical report of technical team's highlight activities, detailing impactful work performed by members of the team. Conduct daily review of activity reports from the field, cable traffic, and other reporting to identify relevant reporting of team activities. Select highlight activities to be included in the report, and write and edit each entry to create a concise report for directorate leadership. Create a placemat using Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Design, or comparable graphic design application; placemat contains a map graphic to accompany each bi-weekly technical report, featuring on the placemat select activities detailed in the report. Support placemat and presentation efforts for each of the program's five teams. Coordinate with the client and work closely with the Graphics team to ensure the products accurately convey the intended data and message. Update and Maintain a detailed technical Strategic Priorities document for the directorate, as well as other key documents. Provide strategic support to annual conference, helping manage logistics, develop the agenda, and strategize on topics Attend Director's weekly meetings with each team, taking notes, writing Minutes after the meetings, incorporating attendees' edits, and filing final Minutes for leadership records. Responsible for attending and taking minutes for approximately 4 meetings per week. Provide ad hoc administrative and communications support to leadership as needs arise.
Required Qualifications:
U.S. Citizenship Requires an active TS/SCI security clearance w/ Poly Bachelor's Degree in Communications, English, Journalism, Media Relations, related fields or equivalent professional experience Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in corporate communications Experience writing press releases, reports, articles, etc. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including strong grammar, writing, and editing skills. Proficient with the Adobe Cloud Suite and with designing placemats for customers Strong ability to organize, write, and edit technical and non-technical materials to appeal to specific and varied audiences Strong critical thinking skills and ability to think strategically Highly creative and innovative in identifying modes of communications and means of creating visually engaging, impactful communications content Experience using a shared drive, such as SharePoint and Joomla. Experience interacting with customers at all levels and in different offices throughout the organization. Working knowledge of web-publishing techniques. Excellent organizational skills and superb attention to detail. Ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, excellent judgment, personal integrity, and absolute discretion. Ability to work independently and effectively with personnel at all levels in a team environment. Ability to develop plans and solutions to resolve problems and issues. Ability to effectively plan workload, meet established deliverables, and manage competing priorities. Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, multitasking environment and change focus quickly, with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.
