Summary The opportunity for Apple Services on social has never been greater. As we support an expanding portfolio of businesses across a diverse range of categories - and as audiences spend more time across more social platforms - our potential for meaningful, culture-shaping storytelling continues to grow. To meet this moment, we're seeking a Social Content Lead to evolve how we create resonant social content at the speed and scale of culture. This role will help define how our brands show up every day on social - not just during tentpole campaigns. In this role, you will build the strategic foundation for our social presence: shaping what we say, how we say it, and why it matters. From developing best-in-class social briefs to establishing a clear editorial North Star for each business, you will ensure our brands are distinctive, culturally relevant, and impossible to ignore. Highly collaborative by nature, this role partners closely with internal strategy and creative teams as well as external agencies - translating business priorities into culturally fluent content strategies, and cultural opportunities back into business impact. Description Define a clear, differentiated social voice for each business in partnership with social, strategy, editorial and creative teams Translate brand positioning into platform-native storytelling approaches Design a scalable social content briefing framework for agency partners Establish clear expectations for insight, creative ambition, cultural relevance, and measurable impact Continuously refine briefing standards based on performance and cultural shifts Train and coach internal social team members on how to write compelling social briefs Raise the bar on strategic and creative thinking around social storytelling Build a shared understanding of what "great" looks like in modern social content Stay deeply attuned to platform shifts, emerging formats, creator ecosystems, and cultural movements Identify opportunities for the brand to participate in culture meaningfully - not reactively Balance timely participation with long-term brand building Champion differentiated content that earns attention and relevance Ensure our content cuts through clutter and avoids category sameness Connect content to performance insights to continually optimize impact Minimum Qualifications 10+ years in social strategy or content strategy Deep understanding of platform-native content (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Reddit, Threads, X, etc) Proven ability to build editorial frameworks and content systems - not just tentpole campaigns or one-off ideas Vast experience working with creative teams and agencies Strong briefing skills and the ability to coach others High cultural fluency and curiosity A strategic mindset paired with creative instincts Comfort operating in constantly evolving environments Preferred Qualifications Futuristic thinker and creative problem-solver to ensure Apple Services are uniquely ahead of the curve Confident in educating and highlighting the wins and hurdles of the team to cross-functional senior leadership Tuned in to cultural trends and conversations in books, podcasts, fashion, sports, finance, tech, pop culture, music, and entertainment Understanding of media, technology, and the ever-changing landscape of social platforms, audiences, and behaviors Collaborative and team-oriented approach resulting in shared success Demonstrates professionalism and work ethic with the ability to set boundaries Excellent communicator and collaborator, pitching new ideas and gaining buy-in across multiple teams and leadership Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.
