Digital Content Manager/Videographer/Content Creator

Position SummaryThe Digital Content Freelancer will support a Community Relations team by capturing dynamic photo and video content that highlights a Fire Rescue department's growth, training, and community impact.

This role offers a unique opportunity to document key milestones of a newly established Fire Rescue department—from recruit training and swearing-in ceremonies to major public events. The freelancer will help visually tell the department's story, working closely with a Digital Content Coordinator to produce engaging, high-quality content for digital platforms.

Key ResponsibilitiesCapture high-quality photo and video content at Fire Rescue trainings, community events, and milestone momentsDocument the department's development, including:

Recruit training and onboardingSwearing-in ceremoniesPush-in ceremoniesRibbon cuttings and community eventsSupport creation of short-form video content (Reels/TikTok-style), including basic editingOrganize, label, and maintain a structured digital media library for long-term useCollaborate with the Digital Content Coordinator on content priorities, shot selection, and storytellingEnsure timely delivery of content following events and scheduled activitiesContribute creative ideas for social media content, trends, and storytelling opportunitiesMaintain situational awareness while capturing content in active, fast-paced environmentsProfessionally represent the organization while working alongside Fire Rescue personnelCapture behind-the-scenes moments that highlight department culture and growthWork EnvironmentFlexible working conditions, including indoor formal events and outdoor environments in varying weather conditionsField-based role supporting events, trainings, and operational activitiesContent captured during approved trainings, scheduled events, and designated activitiesUse of organization-provided equipment
