KATU/KUNP
seeks an experienced Digital Content Producer to join our team. We are looking for a candidate who is excited about producing news stories on multiple platforms. A successful candidate knows how to use analytics to guide story choices and understands the needs of different platforms. But first, you have to know and love NEWS! Qualifications Strong writing and editing skills; newsroom experience preferred Knowledge of AP Style Ability to create engaging digital and social media content Basic photo editing skills; video production experience a plus Strong news judgment and ability to gather information from multiple sources Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Adaptable, coachable, and eager to learn Bachelor's degree required Responsibilities Write, edit, publish, and update digital news content for KATU platforms Cover breaking news across web, social media, video, and live platforms Monitor news sources to identify and develop timely stories Report and produce original local content with compelling headlines Collaborate with newsroom teams to coordinate digital coverage Enhance stories with multimedia, related content, and audience-focused storytelling Create digital-first and social media content that drives engagement and traffic Manage newsletters and identify audience growth opportunities Ensure website content remains accurate, current, and engaging Explore innovative storytelling tools and formats Uphold KATU's editorial and journalistic standards across all platforms Sinclair is proud to be an equal opportunity employer and a drug free workplace.
