This role focuses on executing approved messaging by crafting clear, on-brand written content and ensuring its timely distribution across social media, web, email, and employee advocacy platforms. While social media is a key channel, this position emphasizes accuracy, consistency, and quality control in content execution. The role works closely with Brand Communications, Creative Services, Employee Communications, and Media Relations to implement established messaging and maintain alignment across communication channels.
Note:
There is one position available and the position will be filled at one of three job grade levels: Content & Digital Coordinator I, job grade 5; Content & Digital Coordinator II, job grade 6; or Content & Digital Coordinator III, job grade 7. This decision will be based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate selected, and Tri-State business needs at the time of hire. Content & Digital Coordinator III Hiring Salary Range:
$80,000•99,000
Content & Digital Coordinator II Hiring Salary Range:
$72,000•88,000
Content & Digital Coordinator I Hiring Salary Range:
$64,000•79,000 Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Content Drafting & Editing:
Draft and edit written content for social media, blogs, website updates, employee advocacy platforms, and email communications ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand voice.
Social Media Execution:
Schedule and publish content across Tri-State's social media channels and employee advocacy tools, ensuring posts are accurate, timely, and aligned with established brand standards.
Content Calendar Support:
Support the development and maintenance of content calendars by tracking deadlines, organizing deliverables, and coordinating with internal stakeholders to ensure deadlines are met.
Proofreading & Quality Control:
Review content for grammar, clarity, tone, and consistency prior to publication, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and compliance requirements.
Digital Content Updates:
Support updates to Tri-State's digital properties, including uploading blog/feature/resource posts, making website copy edits, and assisting with routine content maintenance.
Creative Asset Coordination:
Work with your Brand Communications and Creative Services team to pair written content with engaging visuals, graphics, and multimedia assets for campaigns and ongoing initiatives.
Engagement Monitoring:
Monitor social media channels for comments and messages, routing inquiries or issues to appropriate internal teams as needed.
Performance Tracking & Reporting:
Compile performance reports for digital and social channels, track engagement metrics, and support optimization efforts by identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Internal Coordination:
Support cross-department content requests by gathering background information, organizing materials, and helping ensure messaging consistency across channels.
Administrative & Project Support:
Provide general administrative and coordination support to the Brand Communications and Creative Services department, including assisting with meeting preparation, documentation, content organization, and workflow tracking.
Event & Campaign Support:
Assist with written content and coordination support for campaigns, initiatives, and member events as needed, including occasional nights and weekends when appropriate. Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures and attain knowledge and remain knowledgeable of regulations, laws, standards, and best practices applicable to functional area. Because Tri-State has an obligation to provide continuous, reliable electric service to its customers, the ability to work overtime at any time of the day or week is considered an essential function of the job.
OTHER DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other related duties as assigned Education and Training • Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, marketing, English, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to write clearly and concisely for multiple audiences and platforms. Working knowledge of social media platforms and digital content best practices. Comfortable working within established brand voice and editorial guidelines. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Strong people skills and the ability to communicate with a variety of audiences. Familiarity with project management software (Monday.com, Workfront, Basecamp, etc....) Ability to develop and maintain effective working relations. Ability to give and receive directions and/or critique.
Other:
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20%, including overnight travel.
