This is a part-time 1099 contractor position with remote flexibility, but some local in-person work will be required for filming content, attending client meetings, and capturing behind-the-scenes material. There is room for growth based on performance , reliability, client satisfaction, and the ability to take initiative as the agency continues to grow. Responsibilities The Social Media Manager will help plan, create, and manage content for a variety of clients across different industries.
Responsibilities include:
Creating social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and LinkedIn Filming short-form video content, including reels and behind-the-scenes clips Editing reels and social media videos Designing graphics using Canva or similar design tools Writing captions and basic social media copy Scheduling posts and helping manage content calendars Staying up to date on social media trends, audio, and platform updates Communicating professionally with clients Attending occasional in-person meetings, filming sessions, or content days Representing the agency with professionalism, positivity, and pride Working with the agency team to bring client brands to life online Requirements Minimum 3 years of social media experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience Strong experience creating reels, short-form video, and social media content Comfortable with video editing Graphic design experience, especially in Canva Strong writing and communication skills Comfortable interacting directly with clients Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple accounts or projects Creative eye for branding, content, and storytelling Must be local enough to attend occasional in-person filming sessions or meetings Ideal Candidate You are creative, dependable, and confident working with business owners and brands. You understand that social media is not just about posting — it is about helping clients show up consistently, professionally, and authentically. You should be someone who is proud to represent the agency and excited to be part of a growing marketing team.
