• Ghostwriting About the role We're looking for a sharp, fast writer who can make words work hard across two distinct channels — and two distinct voices.

You'll manage both the company's LinkedIn and X presence and ghostwrite founder-led personal content, keeping each one consistent, on-brand, and genuinely worth reading. Our founder is an engineer — and that matters. We want someone who can sit with a technical mind, extract the interesting ideas buried in how they think, and turn them into content that resonates with builders, operators, and buyers alike. You don't need to write code, but you need to be comfortable enough with technical thinking to translate it into compelling copy without dumbing it down. On X you'll think and post in real time — reacting to news, jumping into conversations, and building presence on the fly. On LinkedIn you'll craft posts for both the founder's personal profile and the company page that earn attention from the right people. You'll meet the founder weekly in person and stay tightly coordinated with the video hire to keep messaging consistent across all channels. Based in or near Carlsbad, CA. This is a hybrid role with one in-person working session per week required.

20 hours/week Monthly estimate: ~$2,000 What you'll own Manage and grow the company LinkedIn page and X account — consistent posting, engagement, and brand voice Ghostwrite the founder's personal LinkedIn and X content — capturing their voice authentically, not yours Extract ideas from an engineering-minded founder and turn them into content that non-technical audiences actually want to read Post on X in real time — you're comfortable reacting to news and joining live conversations on the fly Ideate and iterate quickly — bring fresh angles, test formats, and move on when something isn't working Write copy that speaks to B2B buyers — decision makers, founders, and operators Collaborate with the video hire through a shared scheduling tool to keep both channels aligned Produce basic graphics in Canva to accompany written posts when needed What we're looking for Exceptional writer — clear, concise, and compelling across long-form LinkedIn and short punchy X posts Proven ghostwriting experience — you can disappear into someone else's voice and make it sound authentic Comfortable with technical and engineering thinking — you don't need to code, but you need to get it Experience managing both personal and company social accounts, not just one or the other Deep understanding of what performs on LinkedIn and X — formats, timing, hooks, engagement mechanics Fast and reactive — you can spot a moment on X and be posting about it within minutes Strong B2B instincts — you understand what resonates with business buyers and write toward it Based in or near Carlsbad, CA and able to meet in person once a week This role is not for you if Your writing needs three rounds of editing before it's usable You struggle to write in someone else's voice without it sounding like you Technical topics make your eyes glaze over You treat X like a broadcast channel instead of a conversation Managing a company page feels like a separate job — here it's part of the same one
