The Web & Digital Experience Specialist supports the College's digital presence through website management, content optimization, user experience enhancements, and search visibility initiatives. Working under the leadership of the Marketing Director, this position implements web and digital strategies that support institutional goals and enhance the effectiveness of the College's online communications. The position also serves as a technical resource for web content management, digital user experience, website analytics, and emerging digital technologies. Secondary to the web and digital role, the position will also do traditional graphic design work. This position does not supervise people. Website Administration & Digital Experience Manage and maintain institutional public (tctc.edu) and internal websites (myTCTC). Create, update, and optimize responsive, mobile-friendly website content in support of marketing initiatives. Implement website enhancements that improve usability, accessibility, functionality, and user experience. Coordinate content updates and website improvements through collaboration with Marketing Account Coordinators and campus stakeholders. Assist with maintaining site architecture, navigation structures, and content organization to support user needs and institutional priorities. Monitor website functionality and conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure accurate and effective content delivery. Apply established web standards, accessibility guidelines, and content best practices across digital properties. Provide technical support and guidance related to website functionality, content management systems, and digital communications tools. Search Optimization & Digital Discoverability Implement SEO and AEO best practices across websites and digital content to improve online discoverability. Review search and website performance data to identify opportunities for content and technical improvements. Stay informed regarding evolving web technologies, search algorithms, AI-driven search tools, and digital communications best practices. Provide recommendations regarding opportunities to improve website performance and digital discoverability. Digital Content Support & Collaboration Assist website contributors by providing guidance and resources related to web content best practices, accessibility standards, SEO, AEO, and digital usability. Develop and maintain documentation, reference materials, and support resources for website contributors. Collaborate with campus partners to improve content quality, consistency, and effectiveness across digital channels. Design and produce high-quality print and digital marketing materials that support the College brand and various initiatives. An associate degree in art and experience in graphics programs. Candidates must submit a resume and cover letter with application. Education Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Information Technology, Web Development, Public Relations, Journalism, or a closely related field. Experience Three (3) years of recent professional experience in website administration, web content management, digital communications, marketing, user experience, or a related field. Experience maintaining content within a Content Management System (CMS). Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web page structure. Mastery-level experience with WordPress. Experience creating and updating responsive web content. Knowledge of and experience applying accessibility standards, including WCAG guidelines and ADA compliance requirements. Experience with both public-facing and intranet websites. Experience implementing Search Engine Optimization, Answer Engine Optimization, and content discoverability strategies. Ability to interpret website analytics and performance data to inform recommendations using Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, or similar analytics and webmaster tools. Experience conducting website quality assurance testing, usability reviews, and accessibility audits. Experience developing user documentation, training materials, or support resources for website contributors. Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud applications, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and the ability to serve as a backup resource for the development and production of print and digital marketing materials while adhering to institutional branding standards. Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders from diverse departments while managing multiple priorities.
