What We Are Looking For Kinder Morgan, Inc. is currently seeking qualified candidates for a paid summer corporate communications internship located at the company's headquarters in Houston, Texas. What You Will Do Internship responsibilities include: Communications support: Assist in the research and development of basic communications materials, including fact sheets, talking points, presentations, brochures and other materials as directed to communicate the company's story and its position on key issues.
Digital and social media:
Research and write content for the company's blog and various social media platforms. Review external website content and work with business units to update and refresh information. Create visual materials, including graphics, photos and videos to complement various communications materials.
Media relations:
Provide media monitoring support. Research media outlets and develop media lists, as needed. Research issues for backgrounders.
Employee communications:
Develop story ideas and draft content for internal employee newsletter and internal corporate website. What You Need Seeking an energetic and skilled upper-level college student with a desire to learn about corporate communications from one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America. Must be a detail-oriented individual who is able to handle multiple projects concurrently, producing accurate/quality work in a time-sensitive environment. Strong communications skills, diplomacy, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are required. Social media, graphic design, video production, and photography experience is preferred. Candidates may be asked to share samples that demonstrate the quality of their work, as well as the knowledge and understanding of corporate communications.
