Description :
Oversees the execution of Houston Public Media's (HPM) digital strategy for the creation of new content across multiple media platforms, ensuring collaborative and effective content creation, distribution and marketing. 1. Develops and produces media for various projects in accordance with Houston Public media editorial standards. 2. Oversees and provides guidance to producers, production personnel, digital staff and external production contractors. 3.Coordinates media distribution across all platforms and tracks performance metrics. 4. Develops digital programming and collaborates with local and national content partners. 5. Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure adherence to brand standards. 6. Organizes and plans training and communication efforts with regional content partners. 7. Performs other job-related duties as required.
Education:
Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline, or the basic knowledge of more than one professional disciplines. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related, 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed.
Experience:
Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience. All positions at the University of Houston-System are security sensitive and will require a criminal history check.
