Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles has been an active affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International for more than 30 years. By building and preserving affordable housing through new construction, renovations, and home repairs, Habitat LA is transforming communities throughout Los Angeles County. Through access to affordable loans, housing counseling, down-payment assistance, skilled construction training, financial education, and volunteer opportunities the organization has strengthened families, helped stabilize communities, and fostered economic vitality in the region. On average, the affiliate builds and renovates 100 homes in the Los Angeles region each year, ranking it among the largest affiliates nationwide.GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role of E-Commerce Assistant, responsible for supporting the organization's online sales efforts. This position involves capturing high-quality images of donated and sold items, managing online listings, and fulfilling orders while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Recommended strong familiarity with online selling platforms like Shopify, Ebay, etc. Previous experience in ecommerce, retail, or customer service (1-2 years preferred) Ability to respond to customer inquiries and provide top-tier customer service Strong attention to detail when managing product listings, orders, and inventory Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to changing demandsSUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to successfully pass a drug test and a background check Familiarity with online selling platforms such as Shopify, eBay, Facebook Marketplace, or similar platforms Ability to safely handle, sort, lift, and move donated goods (furniture, appliances, or smaller items as applicable) Ability to capture clear, accurate, and visually appealing product photos using a smartphone or camera Proficiency in basic computer applications (Microsoft Office, email, inventory systems) High attention to detail when managing product listings, pricing, inventory, and order fulfillment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing prioritiesWORK CONDITIONS
Frequently it is required to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs. alone, team lift 100 lbs. Frequent movement around the office/warehouse/ReStore may be necessary. Regular work with computers, including keyboards, mouses, and screens. Working conditions consist of high temperature-controlled workspaces. Noise levels are moderate to loud depending on the work area. While performing the duties of an eCommerce Assistant, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers, handle and/or feel objects, handle tools and/or controls, and talk to and/or hear. Pay Range:
$20.00 - $23.00 This position is being offered at $20.00/hr.
