Job Description

About Demetrios Demetrios is one of the most recognized names in bridal. For more than four decades the house has dressed brides around the world and helped define what a modern wedding gown looks like, with a reputation built on craftsmanship, design, and a presence in the industry few brands can match. Today Demetrios is a global company, designed in Europe and sold through bridal boutiques and department stores in over 60 countries. Sposa Fashions LLC, operating as Demetrios, is the North American wholesale distributor and servicer of the Demetrios brand, based in Orlando, Florida. North America is the fastest-moving part of the business right now: we are growing quickly and making advancements on every front, from new systems and a new showroom to new collections, new partners, and a bigger footprint with retailers across the United States and Canada. The Orlando team runs sales, customer service, logistics, supply chain, finance, and marketing for the region. We are a small but high-functioning team doing many things at once, and the person in this role will be a key part of the team fueling that growth and development. The role The Operations Associate works directly with the Chief Operating Officer and acts as an extension of that office. The COO is involved in every aspect of the North American business, and so will you be. One minute we are booking models for a shoot, the next we are resolving a billing issue with a store, then we are on the phone with contractors about our showroom, then we are building sales reports. It is hard to pin this job to one area or one task, and that is the point. You will keep projects moving, communicate with our factories overseas and our retail partners across the US and Canada, and step in wherever the business needs a capable, organized person. This is not a traditional assistant role. You will own follow-ups, build marketing materials and visuals, research vendors and markets, and help solve problems in operations, logistics, customer service, technology, and sales. The best fit is someone who likes variety, learns fast, and wants to understand how a fashion wholesale business actually runs. A word on hours. This is not a 9-to-5, Monday-to-Friday job. We work the time it takes to complete tasks and projects, not until the clock strikes 5. The business runs on factory time zones, market weekends, and brides' wear dates, and this role runs with it, so some long days and weekends come with the territory. It is demanding, but it is not a grind: the trade-off is real responsibility early, a long-standing career with room to grow, and a name for yourself in a fun, tight-knit industry where good people are known and remembered. If you are looking to clock out at a set time every day, this is not the role for you. If you want to build something, it is. Where it can go. This is a role to start in and grow out of fast. You will learn the bridal and evening dress industry from the inside, and you will learn how a business is actually run, from the factory floor to the retail floor to the financials. You are coming in to assist, but you will not be trapped in one area and you will not be assisting forever. Through good work and success in this initial role you will begin managing tasks and projects fully on your own, and your role, responsibilities, and compensation will grow as you succeed. Someone who takes that opportunity by the horns will find there is no ceiling here. What you will do Organization and follow-through Track open projects, tasks, and deadlines across the business and make sure nothing stalls Prepare agendas, notes, and action items for internal and external meetings, and follow up until items are closed Keep the COO's priorities organized and flag what needs attention Factory and supply chain communication Correspond daily with our overseas factories on production status, samples, shipping, and documentation Track purchase orders, ship dates, and inbound shipments, and chase delays before they become problems Help coordinate freight, customs paperwork, and warehouse receiving Store and customer communication Communicate with bridal boutiques and department store buyers on orders, delivery dates, and service issues Support the sales team and independent reps with order follow-ups, account questions, and market appointments Resolve customer service issues quickly and professionally Marketing and visuals Create marketing materials, lookbooks, line sheets, social content, and presentations Produce clean visuals and layouts in Canva, Adobe, or similar tools Help prepare for trade shows and bridal markets, including signage, floor plans, and collateral Research and projects Research vendors, competitors, markets, and tools, using AI to work faster, and summarize findings clearly Support systems projects such as our ERP, ordering portals, and reporting Take on special projects across operations, technology, and sales as the business needs Who we are looking for Extremely organized: you keep lists, close loops, and do not let things fall through the cracks Clear, professional communicator in writing and on the phone, comfortable with overseas partners and English as a second language A quick learner who is comfortable with technology and knows how to get the most out of AI tools for research, writing, visuals, and analysis; fast with spreadsheets, email, and cloud tools, and quick to pick up new systems (ERP experience is a plus, not a requirement) A taste and eye for premium, luxury-level, professional presentation, and the ability to produce materials that live up to it Self-directed and resourceful: when you do not know how to do something, your first instinct is to find a solution, not to say no or that it is not possible Up to date on fashion, retail, and social trends, with an instinct for spotting what is catching traction before everyone else does Full of ideas and willing to bring them forward: the more you show you have the eye for it, the more trust and freedom you will earn A natural problem solver who is not easily overwhelmed: calm under pressure, comfortable juggling many things at once, and able to work through issues rather than escalate them 1 to 3 years of experience in operations, customer service, logistics, marketing, or an executive support role Interest in fashion, retail, or wholesale is a plus; bridal or apparel experience is a bonus Ability to speak Chinese or Italian is a plus To apply Send your resume and a short note on why this role fits you to no-reply@demetrios.com.
