This role will oversee accounting operations, marketplace reconciliations, financial reporting, profitability analysis, cash flow management, and operational finance across multiple eCommerce channels including Amazon, Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and additional online retail platforms. This position will manage multiple smaller entities under the corporate ownership. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with hands-on experience in marketplace financial operations, inventory accounting, and eCommerce analytics. This individual will play a critical role in supporting business growth, improving operational efficiencies, and providing strategic financial insights to leadership. Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting & Analysis Prepare and maintain accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports Analyze company performance, profitability, contribution margins, and operating expenses across marketplace channels Develop financial forecasts, budgeting models, and cash flow projections Monitor advertising spend, marketplace fees, reimbursements, refunds, chargebacks, and SKU-level profitability Provide leadership with actionable financial insights and recommendations to improve operational performance and margins Build and maintain KPI dashboards for revenue, profitability, inventory turnover, and marketplace performance Marketplace Accounting & Reconciliation Manage end-to-end marketplace reconciliation processes across Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, Shopify, and other platforms Reconcile marketplace settlements, payment disbursements, reserve balances, and transaction discrepancies Ensure accurate accounting treatment for sales, COGS, inventory movements, fees, reimbursements, returns, and deductions Investigate settlement variances, missing reimbursements, and operational discrepancies Maintain accurate financial records and support month-end and year-end close processes Accounting Operations Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations Manage bookkeeping and accounting systems including QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar ERP/accounting platforms Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals as necessary Assist with sales tax compliance, audit preparation, and regulatory reporting Ensure financial records comply with accounting standards and company policies Inventory & Operational Finance Monitor inventory valuation, landed costs, and inventory-related financial reporting Partner with operations and supply chain teams to improve inventory planning and purchasing decisions Track inventory performance, aged inventory exposure, and profitability by SKU or marketplace Support operational planning through forecasting and data-driven financial analysis Analyze operational efficiencies and identify opportunities for cost optimization Process Improvement & Automation Develop and improve financial SOPs, controls, and operational workflows Identify opportunities to automate reconciliation, reporting, and financial analysis processes Implement financial reporting tools, dashboards, and process efficiencies to support scaling operations Maintain strong internal controls and financial accuracy across all marketplace activities Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 3-5+ years of experience in eCommerce finance, marketplace accounting, or financial operations Strong understanding of Amazon Seller Central, Walmart Marketplace, Shopify, TikTok Shop, and marketplace payout structures Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting Experience with accounting systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or ERP platforms Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Preferred Qualifications Experience working within a 3P marketplace accelerator, aggregator, agency, or high-volume eCommerce environment Knowledge of inventory accounting and marketplace reconciliation software Experience building financial models and operational dashboards CPA certification or advanced accounting credentials preferred Familiarity with automation tools, BI reporting platforms, and ERP integrations Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting Marketplace reconciliation accuracy and resolution timelines Cash flow management and forecasting accuracy Gross margin and profitability optimization Inventory accuracy and turnover performance Process efficiency and automation implementation Reduction of financial discrepancies and operational losses Why Join Us Opportunity to work with a rapidly growing marketplace accelerator Exposure to leading eCommerce and marketplace brands Collaborative and entrepreneurial work environment Ability to directly impact operational growth and profitability Career advancement opportunities within a high-growth organization Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Health, dental, and vision benefits Paid time off and company holidays Professional development and growth opportunities Flexible and collaborative work environment
