Job Description

December Thieves is a woman-owned and managed independent business that operates a creative design-oriented retail and e-commerce business from our location on Charles St. in Beacon Hill. We carry unique new-to-market slow fashion, handmade jewelry, personal accessory and home decor brands from small, emerging US and international designers and makers and sell through both our brick and mortar location and on our online store (decemberthieves.com). Overview Join our dynamic e-commerce team as an E-Commerce Intern, dedicating 8 hours per week on-site every Wednesday to support the day-to-day operations of our online store and digital presence. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, curious about e-commerce, and interested in learning how a fashion retail business operates behind the scenes. Working closely with our e-commerce and digital team you'll gain exposure to everything from online merchandising and product launches to website content, inventory, email marketing, product management/attribution, SEO, content, and the day-to-day work that goes into creating a strong digital customer experience. Responsibilities Assist with day-to-day management of our Shopify storefront, including product attribution, tagging, descriptions, SEO, and merchandising. Create and maintain product tags, categories, collections, and other product attributes to ensure products are organized and easy to discover. Assist with website merchandising and collection updates, ensuring products are presented thoughtfully and accurately. Write and edit product descriptions and other customer-facing website content in line with our brand voice. Update and organize product imagery and other website content as needed. Conduct regular website checks to identify and resolve missing information, outdated content, or other merchandising and content issues. Support Pinterest marketing by creating pins, organizing boards, and scheduling content. Maintain and update our Google Business and Yelp profiles, including business information, imagery, and other customer-facing details. Assist with general e-commerce maintenance and administrative tasks as needed. Qualifications Some experience, coursework, or familiarity with e-commerce, retail, fashion, or digital marketing is preferred. Strong interest in fashion, e-commerce, and digital retail. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to take ownership of tasks independently. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable learning new digital platforms and tools; familiarity with Shopify, Pinterest, or other e-commerce/social commerce platforms is a plus. Experience with Klaviyo or another email marketing platform is a plus. Curious, proactive, and eager to learn. Kind, inclusive and positive people only. Please reply with cover letter letting us know why you think you'd be a fit for this position. No phone calls or walk-ins please. We look forward to meeting you!
