Full-time Job Title:
E-Commerce Content and Product Data Specialist Position Overview:
Since 1956 Doug Russell Marine has been a staple in the marine and boating industry. We're located on Route 20 in Worcester and looking to add a highly skilled and detail-oriented E-Commerce Content and Product Data Analyst to join our team. This position plays a critical role in managing and analyzing product data, ensuring accurate and engaging content for our online platforms, and driving data-driven decision-making to enhance our e-commerce operations. This role is responsible for organizing, cleaning, and transforming large datasets into accurate, optimized product listings. The ideal candidate will have advanced proficiency in Excel, strong organizational skills, and a passion for data management in an e-commerce environment. This is not a basic data entry role. Strong Excel skills and the ability to work with large datasets are required. Automotive, marine or boating experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, organize, create and maintain product data for e-commerce platforms. Develop and implement strategies to optimize product content for SEO, user engagement, and conversion rates. Utilize Excel to manage, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, including creating pivot tables, v-lookups, and advanced formulas. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product data accuracy and consistency across all platforms. Monitor and update product descriptions, specifications, and other content as needed. Identify and address data discrepancies or inconsistencies promptly. Assist in the onboarding of new products to e-commerce platforms, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
Qualifications:
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, conditional formatting, macros, data cleanup). Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Ability to identify patterns and inconsistencies in data Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Shopify, Magento, ChannelAdvisor or similar). Basic understanding of product listing structure (titles, attributes, categories) Familiarity with MAP pricing, product feeds, or inventory systems Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
