E‑Commerce Processor Full‑Time | $17.50/hour Goodwill Industries of the Chesapeake is hiring an E‑Commerce Processor to support our online retail operations through ShopGoodwill.com/md . Our eCommerce team is organized into specialized departments, and we are seeking candidates with strong interest or expertise in one or more of the following categories : Electronics Collectibles Sports‑related collectibles Video games Trading Card Games (TCG) Cameras This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, attention to detail, and working with unique items in a fast‑paced production environment. Position Overview The E‑Commerce Processor is responsible for identifying, researching, and preparing donated items for online sale. This includes accurately categorizing items, researching product details, and creating brief but accurate listings that meet quality and production standards. Key Responsibilities Sort and evaluate unique donated items, identifying product categories, designers, brands, and maker's marks Research items using web‑based tools and internal resources to determine accurate product information Authenticate, evaluate, and prepare items for eCommerce listings Create clear, concise product descriptions suitable for online sale Meet or exceed daily production goals Maintain compliance with safety and housekeeping standards Promote and support Goodwill's mission and values Perform other related duties as assigned Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required Previous experience with online sales, resale platforms, or strong product knowledge required Familiarity with niche categories such as electronics, collectibles, gaming, or cameras strongly preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently Computer proficiency and online research skills Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision Clear verbal communication skills Ability to follow verbal instructions and meet production expectations Team‑oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Physical Requirements Medium physical demand Lift up to 50 lbs. and frequently lift or carry items up to 25 lbs. Regular standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling Frequent use of hands and fingers for handling items Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
