Job Description

Ecommerce Manager, Strategy & Operations Eleanor Leftwich Minneapolis, MN Job Details Full-time $85,000 - $110,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Paid parental leave Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Qualifications Operational analysis Strategic management Merchandising Shopify E-commerce SQL Online retail experience Data-driven problem-solving Process management B2C business model Full Job Description Overview We are looking for an Ecommerce Manager to own the day-to-day health, presentation, and performance of our Shopify storefront. This is a hands-on role for someone equally at ease in the back end of a site and in the mind of a discerning customer. You will keep the experience flawless, present new pieces with care, and use data to make the site quietly sharper season over season. The right person understands that, for a high-touch luxury brand, the website is the boutique — and treats every detail accordingly.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Site Ownership & Operations Own ongoing site maintenance, keeping the storefront fast, functional, and consistently on-brand. Create and publish product listings with merchandising, imagery, and copy that hold to the brand's standard. Lead website quality assurance, catching and resolving issues across devices and browsers before a customer ever meets them. Partner across brand, marketing, and social so the storefront always reflects the current collection and season. Collaborate with Eleanor Leftwich vendors and relationships to optimize the end-to-end ecommerce and website experience Analytics & Conversion Monitor and interpret site analytics in Google Analytics and Shopify to surface insight and drive improvements to navigation, conversion, and the journey as a whole. Anticipate the needs of our core customer and translate that understanding into a site experience that feels personal, elevated, and intuitive. Strategic Advisory Beyond keeping the site running, this role is asked to think about how the storefront moves the business. You will be a strategic partner to the Founder and Chief Operating Officer, using data to form a point of view — and to argue it well. Drive analysis of cross-product purchase behavior: which pieces are bought together, how a customer builds their uniform over time, and where styling suggestions or considered pairings can deepen the wardrobe and lift lifetime value. Examine the tension between fit confidence and our pre-order model — where waiting for a made-to-order piece invites hesitation, returns, or cancellations, and where it protects inventory. Form and defend a data-backed opinion on pre-order, marshaling evidence on sell-through, return and cancellation rates, time-to-fulfillment, and customer sentiment to say plainly when pre-order serves the brand and the customer, and when it works against them. Translate analysis into concrete recommendations — from sizing guidance and fit content to merchandising sequence and the balance of ready-to-ship versus pre-order — and partner with leadership to act on them. Bring an informed, opinionated voice to strategic decisions, as comfortable presenting the numbers as making the call.
WHAT YOU BRING 5-10
years of ecommerce experience, with hands-on Shopify expertise (Shopify Plus a plus). Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics and comfort turning data into decisions. Analytical confidence to form and defend a point of view — on cross-product purchasing or the merits of a pre-order model — backed by data. A sharp eye for detail and design, with an instinct for how luxury looks and feels. Experience merchandising or managing product on a direct-to-consumer or premium retail site. An intuitive grasp of the luxury customer's mindset and how digital experience shapes brand perception. Self-directed and organized, balancing meticulous execution with strategic thinking. Self-starter who has confidence in their ability to make decisions with autonomy.
NICE TO HAVE
Background in fashion, apparel, or another luxury or premium category. Familiarity with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing. Comfort with basic HTML/CSS or Liquid for Shopify customization.
