Born To Race is hiring a dependable and detail-oriented E-Commerce Shipping & Returns Assistant for our warehouse in Islandia, NY. This is a part-time, hands-on position combining daily order fulfillment, careful returns processing, inventory organization, and occasional physical warehouse work. We are looking for someone who takes pride in doing the job correctly, works well independently, and wants an opportunity to grow with the company.
Schedule and Pay Part-time:
approximately 20-30 hours per week Typical shift: 11:00 AM-5:00 PM or 12:00 PM-5:00 PM All shifts end by 5:00 PM Starting pay: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience Potential for additional hours, responsibilities, and increased pay based on performance, reliability, and company needs Hiring immediately Main Responsibilities Pick, pack, and ship daily customer orders Print and organize shipping labels and packing slips Confirm product IDs, sizes, colors, and quantities before shipping Carefully open and inspect returned merchandise Identify signs of use, damage, missing parts, or incorrect items Document the condition of returned products accurately Fold, clean, repackage, label, and restock eligible returns Keep products and warehouse racks organized Assist with inventory counts and stock placement Maintain a clean and orderly work area Report shipping, inventory, and return discrepancies Perform other general warehouse duties when needed Physical Warehouse Work Most daily work involves shipping orders, processing returns, and organizing inventory. Approximately every two months, we receive palletized inventory that must be unpacked and placed onto warehouse racks. We also occasionally receive containers that must be unloaded. Additional helpers will be available during container unloading. However, the employee must be comfortable performing active physical work, moving cartons, and safely lifting packages weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
