Paid E-Commerce & Operations Intern - Luxury Fashion Resale The Closet New York | Syosset, NY Part-Time Paid Internship | In-Person The Closet New York is a luxury designer resale boutique in Syosset, NY, specializing in authenticated pre-owned designer clothing, handbags, shoes, and accessories. We're looking for a motivated, detail-oriented E-Commerce & Operations Intern to assist our team with the behind-the-scenes work that keeps our store and online business running smoothly. This is a great opportunity for a fashion, merchandising, marketing, or business student who wants hands-on experience in luxury resale and e-commerce. You'll work closely with our Assistant Manager and gain exposure to the full process of taking designer inventory from intake to the sales floor and our online store.

What You'll Help With:

Photographing new designer inventory for our website Creating and uploading product listings Writing accurate product descriptions and entering item details Researching products, retail pricing, and style information Measuring clothing and documenting item condition Organizing and preparing inventory for online and in-store sale Steaming and prepping clothing for photography and the sales floor Assisting with inventory management and backend website tasks Helping maintain organized product records Assisting with social media content when needed Supporting day-to-day store operations and special projects

Who We're Looking For:

Someone who is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in fashion and luxury brands. You should be comfortable working independently once trained and able to move efficiently between computer-based tasks and hands-on work with inventory. Knowledge of designer brands is a plus, but a willingness to learn is just as important.

Ideal Candidate:

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Fashion Merchandising, Fashion Business, Marketing, E-Commerce, Business, or a related field Strong attention to detail Comfortable using computers and learning new software Strong written communication and spelling Organized and able to manage repetitive tasks accurately Comfortable photographing merchandise Familiarity with Shopify or e-commerce platforms is a plus Interest in designer fashion and the resale industry Positive, reliable, and willing to jump in wherever needed

Schedule & Compensation:

This is a paid, part-time, in-person internship at our Syosset boutique. We are looking for approximately 2-3 days per week , with scheduling flexibility based on school schedules. Why Intern With The Closet New York? Unlike a traditional retail internship, this position provides hands-on experience with both the retail and e-commerce sides of a growing luxury resale business . You'll learn how designer inventory is researched, photographed, listed, merchandised, managed, and ultimately sold both in-store and online. There is also potential for continued part-time employment for the right person as our business grows.

Pay:

$17.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per week
