About Middle & Main Mahjong Middle & Main Mahjong is a Charleston-based lifestyle brand inspired by gathering, hospitality, beautiful design, and meaningful connection. We create premium mahjong products and accessories designed to bring people together and elevate everyday moments. As a growing company, we are looking for an Operations Manager & Executive Assistant who will help oversee the day-to-day operations of the business while supporting the founders in executing key initiatives. This is an opportunity to become an integral part of a small, entrepreneurial team where your work will directly influence the growth and success of the brand. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and excited to wear multiple hats in a dynamic small-business environment. This is a part time position with strong potential to evolve into a full time position. Current office location on Meeting Street, with plans to move to Mount Pleasant. Key Responsibilities Operations & Business Management Help oversee and improve day-to-day business operations Maintain organized systems, processes, and workflows Monitor inventory levels and product availability Coordinate vendor communications and purchasing activities Support product launches, restocks, and operational projects Track timelines and ensure projects remain on schedule Research and implement process improvements to increase efficiency Assist with reporting, analysis, and business planning projects Executive Support Manage calendars, scheduling, and administrative tasks Coordinate meetings and business communications Assist with project management and follow-up Conduct research and gather information for special projects Support the founders with operational and administrative priorities Customer Experience Respond to customer emails and inquiries with professionalism and care Resolve customer issues and provide thoughtful solutions Assist with replacement parts, product questions, and special requests Help maintain the exceptional customer experience Middle & Main is known for E-Commerce & Brand Support Assist with product listings, inventory management, and content updates across multiple sales and e-commerce platforms Maintain accurate product information, inventory records, and pricing Support marketing initiatives, promotions, and product launches Assist with customer communications and brand-related projects Help ensure a seamless customer experience across all sales channels Office & Event Support Maintain an organized and efficient workspace Assist with product quality control and packaging Coordinate shipping and occasional local errands Support occasional events, markets, and customer experiences Help prepare products and materials for launches, restocks, and special events Who You Are Exceptionally organized and detail-oriented Warm, professional, and people-oriented A self-starter who takes initiative and follows through Highly dependable and accountable Resourceful and solutions-focused Comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines Tech-savvy and eager to learn new systems Adaptable and calm under pressure An excellent communicator, both written and verbal Excited by entrepreneurship and small business growth Someone who notices what needs to be done and gets it done You appreciate thoughtful details, beautiful brands, and creating exceptional customer experiences. Qualifications Required Strong computer proficiency and comfort learning new software Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and time-management abilities Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Professional and customer-focused demeanor Reliable transportation Ability to occasionally lift and move inventory or packages Preferred 3-5 years of experience in operations, executive support, office management, project coordination, customer service, or a related role Experience working with multiple software platforms and business systems Familiarity with inventory management, e-commerce operations, or order fulfillment processes Experience working in a small business environment Interest in hospitality, retail, lifestyle brands, design, or mahjong
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
