BASIC PURPOSE
The Product Specialist supports the Product Management team in driving the success of assigned products. This role focuses on learning the product portfolio, supporting sales and marketing activities, assisting with analysis, and contributing to the execution of product strategies.
THIS POSITION IS ON-SITE IN LAWRENCEVILLE, GA KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Product Strategy & Performance Support Supports the development and execution of product plans to drive growth in assigned product lines Assists with market and competitor research; compiles findings to support strategy decisions Helps track bookings, sales performance, and forecasts; maintains reporting dashboards Supports pricing analysis and updates under guidance from Sr Product Manager Marketing & Sales Enablement Assists in developing product positioning and reviewing marketing collateral for technical accuracy Contributes to creation of sales tools, presentations, and training materials Supports trade show preparation and participation as needed Sales & Customer Support Works with sales teams to answer basic product questions and escalate more complex issues Helps deliver product training to internal and external teams alongside Sr Product Manager Serves as a secondary point of contact for product-related inquiries Assists with product selection and configuration guidance Customer Experience & Issue Resolution Supports resolution of customer issues in collaboration with senior team members Coordinates with Engineering and Operations to help resolve order or product-related issues Collects and organizes customer feedback to support product improvements Product Development & Lifecycle Management Assists with new product development activities, including testing, documentation, and launch preparation Helps execute product launches, updates, and discontinuation activities Documentation & Administrative Support Maintains product documentation and internal knowledge resources Performs other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS B.S.
in Engineering or related technical field (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical preferred) 0-3 years of experience in a technical, manufacturing, or product-related role Strong interest in product management, sales, and industrial markets Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally with technical and commercial teams Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; familiarity with ERP/CRM systems is a plus Basic understanding of engineering and manufacturing concepts Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks Demonstrated curiosity and willingness to learn new products and markets Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and ownership mindset Limited travel required
