20% About BAM Capital BAM Capital is the private equity arm of The BAM Companies, an institutional real estate owner-operator. We offer our family of investors access to premier real estate investment opportunities, transparent stewardship of capital, a means to achieve portfolio diversification, and tax-advantaged, long-term wealth creation. Headquartered in Carmel, Indiana, The BAM Companies specializes in the acquisition and management of multifamily apartment communities. Comprising BAM Capital, BAM Management, and BAM Construction, The BAM Companies has been named the Indiana Apartment Association's 2024 Management Company of the Year, a Top Workplace by IndyStar for four consecutive years, a recipient of the Indianapolis Business Journal's Fast 25 award, and one of Inc.'s 5000 fastest-growing private companies in America for eight consecutive years. Position Overview The Prospect Outreach Specialist — known internally as the Investor Engagement Specialist — serves as BAM Capital's first point of contact for prospective investors.
This role is fundamentally service-oriented:
the primary objective is to create a high-quality, personalized experience for every prospect who enters our pipeline — ensuring they feel heard, prepared, and well-served before their first conversation with our capital raising team. This position requires equal parts relationship skills, operational discipline, and CRM ownership. The Investor Engagement Specialist is responsible for prompt outreach to prospects, gathering meaningful discovery information, maintaining data integrity across our HubSpot CRM, and proactively identifying re-engagement opportunities across the full prospect database. This is not a sales role — it is a relationship and operations role, and success is defined by the quality of meetings scheduled with our capital markets team on behalf of prospective investors. What You'll Do Promptly contact all inbound prospects upon inquiry; conduct warm, structured discovery conversations to understand their goals, timeline, and investment background, and brief the capital raising team in advance of each meeting to ensure a tailored experience. The estimate is that 30 calls will be made each day, with varying levels of response from the prospects Assess each prospect's profile and place them on the existing proprietary communication path based on their persona, ensuring every touchpoint feels relevant and personalized Customize and deploy HubSpot email sequences tailored to each prospect's persona, working from content drafted by our in-house writer and adapting it to fit the individual prospect and context Conduct outreach across multiple channels — phone, text, and email — to engage prospects at the right moment with the right message Proactively identify re-engagement opportunities across the CRM by monitoring behavioral signals such as form activity, email engagement, and other indicators of investment interest Own data integrity for all prospect records in HubSpot, including auditing, enriching, and correcting designated fields to ensure every record reflects the most complete and accurate information available Review notes and transcripts from capital raising calls to verify CRM data is captured accurately and consistently Follow established SOPs with a high degree of precision and contribute structured feedback to improve processes over time Who You Are You understand and embrace the value of personal, phone-first communication in a prospect-facing role. In a world of automated touchpoints, you know that picking up the phone is often the most effective thing you can do — and a full day of meaningful conversations is, to you, a productive and successful day. You have a genuine service orientation and derive satisfaction from creating positive, professional experiences for the people you interact with. You're energized by supporting a team win rather than being the one to close the deal yourself You take ownership of data quality; incomplete or inaccurate records are something you feel compelled to fix, not overlook You are naturally curious and persistent — when a prospect disengages or declines, you seek to understand why rather than simply moving on You are motivated by measurable results and compensation tied directly to your output; you approach prospecting within a CRM with the same rigor and initiative you would bring to any performance-driven environment You are process-oriented and thrive within structured systems, while remaining adaptive in live conversations Qualifications 1-3+ years of experience in a client-facing, relationship management, or service coordination role; experience in financial services, real estate, retail, or a similarly relationship-driven industry is preferred Proficiency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM, with demonstrated comfort around data integrity and record management Strong verbal communication skills — professional, warm, and effective at building rapport quickly by phone High attention to detail and strong organizational skills to be able to work independently Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment
