Sales Analyst Location:
North Kansas City, MO Ready to lead the next phase of growth? Step into a Sales Analyst role where you can take ownership of a newly developed role to support the company and sales team and drive results across a growing market. This role offers a competitive base salary in the $50,000-$60,000 range. Position Summary The Sales Analyst role is a newly formed role responsible for turning sales data into actionable insights that drive revenue growth, improve sales efficiency, and support strategic decision-making. The role sits at the intersection of sales leadership, strategy, and data, focusing on understanding what is happening in the business, why it's happening, and what actions to take next. Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, this individual will develop and support the execution of both strategic and tactical initiatives. The candidate is both strategic and hands‑on—someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze historical and current sales data Build recurring and ad‑hoc reports for leadership Track KPIs such as revenue, pipeline, conversion rates, win/loss, and territory performance 2. Forecasting & Planning Support Create and maintain sales forecasts, key contact for the company forecasting process Identify gaps between forecast and targets Support annual and quarterly sales planning 3. Performance & Trend Analysis Identify patterns in customer behavior, product performance, or rep effectiveness Monitor performance against goals and benchmarks Flag risks early (slipping pipeline, declining conversion rates, etc.) 4. Strategic Recommendations Translate insights into clear recommendations Advise sales leadership on pricing, territories, coverage models, or incentives Support go‑to‑market and growth initiatives with data 5. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations Align sales data with marketing campaigns, supply planning, and revenue targets Qualifications & Experience 2+ years of previous experience in customer service and sales. Experience and product knowledge in the Office Furniture industry are assets. Proficiency in using computers and various software applications such as Excel and System Analytics. Experience in sales and business analysis. A commitment to providing insights that enable the development of effective strategies and tactics. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while being self-motivated. Project management experience. Excellent interpersonal, time management, and negotiation skills.
Qualifications:
College diploma in business/sales/marketing (CET, etc.) or equivalent education and/or experience. Minimum 2 years of industry or related experience. Strong proficiency with MS Office, including Excel skills.
