We are seeking a Product Analyst who will be responsible for analyzing product, market, pricing, and cost data to support profitable business growth across the business. This role combines strong analytical skills with technical aptitude to evaluate product performance, manufacturing capabilities, customer applications, and market trends. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Leadership, the Product Analyst develops data-driven recommendations that support pricing strategies, product lifecycle management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Success in this role requires the ability to understand technical products and translate complex information into business decisions that improve profitability and deliver customer value.
Responsibilities:
Analyze product, market, pricing, cost, and competitive data to develop recommendations that support product strategy, profitability, and business growth. Develop and maintain pricing strategies by evaluating customer value, competitive positioning, manufacturing costs, tariffs, inflation, and overall market conditions. Partner with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Leadership to support product lifecycle management, pricing decisions, and strategic business initiatives. Perform pricing analyses, sensitivity analyses, and profitability assessments to identify opportunities for margin improvement and sustainable business growth. Evaluate the impact of pricing decisions on product demand, market segmentation, distribution channels, competitive positioning, and overall business performance. Analyze product performance, customer applications, and technical attributes to support product positioning, market competitiveness, and customer value. Assist in establishing and maintaining product list prices, discount structures, rebates, and pricing communications. Monitor pricing effectiveness and market trends, providing regular reports and recommendations to management in response to changing economic conditions, customer needs, and competitive activity. Develop and maintain pricing models, attribute-based pricing tools, and other analytical resources to support data-driven decision making. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives that enhance business processes, systems, and operational efficiency. Support product launches, product changes, and portfolio optimization by providing analytical and technical input throughout the product lifecycle. Maintain accurate product, pricing, and market data while ensuring documentation and reporting are complete and current. Experience within the food, grocery, or CPG industry. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance or a related technical field. 2-5 years of experience in Product & Category Management, Product Analysis, Business Analysis, Engineering, Pricing, or a related field.
Preferred:
Experience in manufacturing, packaging, medical device, pharmaceutical, food, or industrial products. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and develop actionable business recommendations. Technical aptitude with the ability to understand product design, manufacturing processes, and customer applications. Knowledge of pricing strategies, product lifecycle management, market analysis, and profitability principles. Experience analyzing product costs, competitive markets, pricing models, and business performance metrics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical and business information to cross-functional teams. Ability to collaborate effectively with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Leadership. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills; experience with ERP systems, Power BI, SalesForce, and other data visualization tools is preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate product, pricing, and market data. Experience utilizing syndicated data such as Circana (IRI), NielsenIQ, Retailer POS data, Walmart Retail Link Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
